Paid Seller Via Bank Transfer - Any Comeback?

Send eBay a copy of the Bank Transfer and ask eBay to refund you direct for Item Not Recieved. That should get the ball going...
This is not such a bad idea. eBay have some odd takes on the rules and there have been one or two threads on here where cash on collection items have qualified for protection. Ring eBay and see if they will help with buyer protection seeing as the first payment didn't get claimed. They may refund you themselves. Always worth a try.0 -

Doesn't look like I'm getting my £35 back...RIPPED ME OFF FOR £120.POLICE ALERTED,AVOID AVOID AVOIDTry 192.com, there are 74 Tisdales listed in Birmingham you may be able to narrow it down from there.
None of them begin with "N" unfortunately

it simple you have been had.
ebay clearly tell you not to use western union ect.
when i was selling stuff you often got someone wanting you to do the transaction outside ebay. if they propose this as in money orders run away. they just want your money or goods. lastly your not covered by ebay if you do. watch out for checks as well.0 -

But this wasn't a Western Union payment, it was a bank transfer which is an allowable payment method on ebay.0 -
Quick update, went to the Police and had a statement taken today.
Doubt i'll get my money back, but with a type of car, first & last name, postcode & bank details I think they'll be able to track him down.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -
            Any updates on this one?0

            Another update...
Birmingham Police found the seller.
He claims that he lost his job, and also his computer / house / car* / internet access, and is currently being housed by social services.
They came to the agreement that if he repaid by the 12th (when he was due to be paid), they would drop the charges.
Unfortunately, he chose not to give me money, so Birmingham Police will be turning up at his address soon...
*I mention car, as it was a car part, which I presume he would remove from his car - no car, means no part to send me.
EDIT - There is no pretty much no chance of me getting my money back now, but at least the seller (sorry, "offender") will get punished.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0
