Gif Gaf are they any good and also whats the performance of their mobile internet like?

I like the look of their £25 goodybag deal 1500 mins and unlimited texts and emails. Well anything is better than paying Tmbile £45 - 50 per month.

It's giffgaff actually and they are good. Just search the board.
    They use O2 network.
Don't forget to get free £5 RAF when joining.

    I don't know £45-50 sim-only plans at t-mobile, but you can get 1200+500+Unltd/500Mb for 12x£20 with chitter-chatter (t-mobile)

    Also '3': 2000+5000+Unltd for £25
  • They are good but with the Caveat that as they use the O2 network, their 3G service is RUBBISH.

If you are not bothered about data, go for it.

Been with Giff Gaff 4 months or so now. I use the £10 Goodybag 250mins/unlimited txts and data. Not had a problem at all, always been connected and I find the data speed fine though I do tend to use Wifi quite a bit.

Also recieved txts abroad for free which was unexpected.

Incoming texts are always free with any network, in UK and abroad.

My contract with Tmobile is about to end by end of October and have been with them for around 9 years and they dont really reward customers who have been with them a long time so feel it's time to move on and i do like the idea with GG that it's basically a conrtact without the contract i.e. you get mins and budles like a contract so i have ordered a new sim and will get my Tmobile PAC code closer to the time and transfer my number.

The data is shocking, I'd stick with T-Mobile. Retentions will sort you out.

I'm thinking of moving to these as the OP said I'm also fed up with paying my contact (£35pm) especially when I can get a far better deal just paying a tenner.
Guessing there nothing to stop you paying a month or two to see what their like and if you don't like it switching to someone else?
  • Its basically a budget o2 without the customer support. If you dont call your network much its ideal especially with the deals.
  • I've been with them since February. They have been generally very good indeed. Recently there have been a few glitches with the network, normally sorted quickly but worth bearing mind. The support forums are very good with quick helpful responses from other members. As well as the minutes, texts and data both PAYG and GoodyBag customers get free giffgaff to giffgaff calls, (60 minutes per call then redial) and Payback. Payback is cash or credit if you give out sims (which are then activated) or answer questions on the giffgaff forums. Just doing the latter I earned £21 for not a lot last month and paid £10 for a GoodyBag so quids in! :)

    I thought they were crap!!
I'm with three now on the one plan sim only. Best network I've used, and I go all over the country with work.
