It's also not uncommon for Landlords to lie either.........
which doesn't let the tenants off the hook or put them on it either.

What false assumptions did I make? Was it not you that said "Tenants Lie"

Great comeback at the end there :T:T:T

Now you are putting words in my mouth. :rotfl: IMHO tenants are people and no more prone to telling lies than any other section of the community. I may be an owner now but I am no more (or less) honest than when I was a tenant.

Most estate agents will wriggle and squirm rather than hold their hand up and say sorry.

Rent received this morning, appears that tenant paid rent late, then this was made later by it taking 7 days for it to transfer from Clydesdale to myself.

Think she has been thoroughly embarrassed in front of her peers, but I spoke to them all today and assured them there would be no reprecussions from me.

I agree both tenants and landlords lie. I just felt upset that they were accusing me of 'stealing' from them.

I did believe that they had transferred the money, they were very plausible I was imagining it being 'lost' in the internet (probably due to a number wrong in the a/c number, sort code.) Thankfully this is not the case
