Had to spend a bit on shopping again yesterday, although we are now feeding 7 all this week as our neices and nephew decided to stay. So far the meals have been fairly normal but could get rather interesting come the weekend.
The bank is out of the overdraft but I know a bill is due which will take us back into it, but not by as much as before. If my calculations are right we could have this cleared by the 17th.
Todays list:
- Check up on dad (he has an appointment today)
- Take DS1 to psysio
- Clear the washbasket again.
- Strip leftover chicken from yesterday and attempt to make it feed 7/8 for tea.
- Entertain the girls (probably involve crafts or baking).
- Sort out paperwork to send off for student loans
- Post ebay stuff.
- Print off schedule for 5k jogging (signed up for race for life)Grocery Challenge Sept 2021 £95.40/£500

Phew kids that are not mine have been returned to their parents and the house is nice and quiet again. Hoping next week is fairly visitor free I know I have 3 adults for Easter lunch extra and possibly 2 extra kids for tea on Tuesday, everyone else is going to have to be refused (That's the hard bit!).
We quite literally have been eaten out of the house even the staple foods have run out and the cupboards are looking very bare! Carbs are non existent at the moment, no rice, pasta, noodles, potatoes, cereal or any fruit and veg and were almost out of milk and cereal.
My fridge contains 3 cheese triangles 2 pints of milk, a lettuce and a bag of onions. Answers on the back of a postcard. I believe the meat in the freezer consists of a pack of ox heart, 2 packs of liver and a lonely pork chop. Think the result may be a trip to the supermarket tomorrow, which means overdraft bashing
Oh well will have to limit it to the cheapest essentials till payday on the 17th. I can honestly say that I never thought that my food situation would get so bad.Grocery Challenge Sept 2021 £95.40/£500

Got up this morning with a cold, the first one I have had in over a year. Was meant to be going to mum and dads today to decorate the living room, but can't go anywhere near my dad with this. Sent the OH on his own, he's quite handy with a paintbrush so should be ok.
On the plus side we have had to cancel them for dinner tomorrow too so less to feed, but was really looking forward to it.
Today's list:
- go shopping as cheaply as possible
- change the beds
- check banking
- finish cleaning out the kitchen cupboards and the chest freezer while they are empty.
- Try and shift this damn cold (I don't do ill!)Grocery Challenge Sept 2021 £95.40/£500

Morning Diary,
Can't update the total for grocery challenge because I lost the receipt. Grrr... However as I paid by card it will show up on online banking over the next few days. Think it was around the £20 mark for the weekly shop so not too bad.
Bank is still looking good as the big bill hasn't come out yet fingers crossed it stays that way for a few days I might scrape through without using the overdraft.
I will be able to update my debt total on the 17th, which should see a big chunk knocked off, for not using the overdraft.
I have been ebaying like crazy all Sunday and Monday and have 62 items running and 14 items to post from last week so this should help with the end of month total. It seems to take forever with paypal from them paying to it actually hitting the account, but at least I know extra funds are on there way.
Today's list:
- Catch up with housework I haven't done over the weekend
- Do physio with DS2
- Post ebay Items
- Nip to shop for gas and electricity top up for the week & yet more milk
- Sort out paperwork for uni
- Be creative with the food we have in
- Pay catalogue bill
- Start training for the 5 KGrocery Challenge Sept 2021 £95.40/£500

Woohoo we got paid a day early and after sorting out the banking I finally feel like we are back on track. The Debt total has come down now the overdraft has been paid off and minimum payments have been made.
Right, now on to the next phase of debt busting which I think may be a long haul. I'm going to nip over to the PAD challenge board and join up again as I found that really usefull last time. Even if it is an extra £1 a day it is bringing the total down faster.
Training for the 5k is also going well myself and a friend are now halfway through week 2 of the couch to 5k 9 week plan.
Todays list:
Sort out all paperwork and file properly
Go out for a run
Phone DS2's consultant
Home School DS2
Go to shop for coffee (cant function recently without it)
Phone dad and arrage his hospital appointment.Grocery Challenge Sept 2021 £95.40/£500

Afternoon Diary,
Can't quite believe the weather today it started raining about half past seven this morning and it hasn't stopped since. I just hope DS1 didn't get too wet on the way to school this morning.
Finances still seem to be on track, thankfully. Out of my personal spends this week I have treat myself to an E-cig. Having been a smoker for 20 years, I think it's time to find a safer way to get my nicotine fix than smoking. I researched the subject quite extensively and I think I have bought the right quality product which is not only cheaper than smoking but contains non of the harmful chemicals other than nicotine, there is no passive smoking or smell. It comes with several strengths of fluid so hopefully I can cut it down and eventually stop altogether.
It has just arrived and is charging up now, so fingers crossed I can make the transition from smoking to vaping easily.
Not much planned for today other than nipping to the post box and a training run tonight.Grocery Challenge Sept 2021 £95.40/£500

Morning Diary,
Lots to do today and dad has an appointment at the hospital for results of his latest scans, so need to keep myself busy because I don't think it is going to be good news.
So far so good with the E-Cig didn't crave that much yesterday, just a couple of twinges about it last night. This morning however it was hard to resist the temptation of a proper ciggy as it is usually the first thing I reach for in the morning. However I am persevering and not having a real one.
Tried joining the quitting smoking thread as many on there are using nicotine replacement, but It seems I am not welcome while using an E-Cig. Oh well I will have to bore this diary and my friends with it instead.
Today's list:
Shift the mountain of Ironing
List on Ebay
Home School DS2
Nip to post office
Go to shop for Milk
Finish friends family tree
Nip to mum and dads to discuss hosp results.
Ring university to see when I can apply for my bursary
Ring council and report 2 streetlights which are not working outside the house.
Most of all, Stay well away from real Ciggys!Grocery Challenge Sept 2021 £95.40/£500

Morning diary,
I managed all of my list yesterday apart from finishing friends family tree, but there is no rush for that one.
Today I'm nipping into town, fingers crossed I don't spend a fortune. Me home bargains and B&M are a tad lethal though. Then I'm off for a training run later, we are now on week 3 of 9 so fingers crossed it's not too hard.Grocery Challenge Sept 2021 £95.40/£500
