  • Well it's the morning after the night before, it all went quite well really. We had 1 bloody nose, 1 bumped head and the dog only tried to hump two out of the 6 visiting kids so i think we can call that a success.
No tears, no bed wetting and fast on for 1am (awake again at 6:eek:).
Their sat watching another DVD and all is calm. Must remember to feed them a few more E numbers before i send them bouncing home to the parents that got a night off last night.

    Tasks for today;

-Try and stay awake till at least after tea.

-Get the house looking a bit more like a house than an upturned skip before the parents come and pick up their lil angels.

    - Check for work online it's been especially carp on hours this week.

Not even thinking about attempting more till I've had more sleep.

Failed miserably with the staying awake task yesterday by half two i was sock on. Did manage to get the house looking reasonable again though so not too bad. Result of the above was that i was wide awake last night and coulden't sleep :( .

Got a bit of work done last night just over an hour before the work ran out and this morning managed about 25mins before it happening again.

    Today's to do list;

-Organize letters that need sending tomorrow.
-Clean kitchen, dining room, lounge and both bathrooms
-Hoover upstairs (Sausage roll crumbs everywhere)
    -Clean out fridge
    -Do washing and ironing
    -Cook roast dinner for 1pm
-Keep checking for work online each hour and do what is available
-Sort out online banking to see what is coming in and going out over the next week.
    - phone volunteer job

Right off to make a start on this lil lot.

Managed to get all of the list done yesterday apart from the letters so they are first on my list today. The bank is in the black but it's too soon to be making extra CC payments, I have to sit and watch it for a while.

-Try and get some more work online, was none yesterday.
-If none of the above get some college work done.
-stock take the freezer, do meal plan & shopping list
-Figure out what i'm doing for tea we have 12 tonight all arriving and leaving at different times (any ideas welcome)
    -Entertain the above.

    Morning diary.

It's October 1'st so that means the start of a new budget. Managed to stay in the black so should be able to start making extra payments soon, plus saving for Christmas. Two days till the next payday and we have enough money to keep us going till then.
The new Grocery budget is £340 for the month, I'm hoping this is doable and have worked it out at 4 weeks at £60 with £100 spare for stock up shop, offers, reduced stuff, pet food etc.
Ideally we need to get this below £300 but taking it slowly and trying to be realistic.

Off to the shops today for some bits and bobs for a party i'm doing for a friend tonight for her birthday, she's really down in the dumps and needs cheering up big style. Think this should come in less than £10 so not too bad. Mum and dad are home today so also hoping to raid the allotment and that they will take me to the wholesalers to by pet food for the month. This not having a car situation is really starting to grate, i hate relying on people all the time to take us places.

Will update my signature and report back on spends later.

£10.46 spent yesterday which consisted of wet food for the dog for the month, new kitchen scales and some bits and bobs for the kids like cup drinks to freeze.
I have to figure out what is the best plan of action today seems like everything that could possibly need doing needs doing today, with not enough hours to do it in.

    Here goes the impossible list:
    -Finish assignment for college
    -Four hours work
    -Washing & Ironing
    - every room needs cleaning, hoovering, mopping
    - Homework and reading with the boys
    - cook Sunday lunch
    - Take eldest to bowling
    - clean out fridge
    - list freezer contents and do shopping list for the week
    - sort out bags of veg from the allotment yesterday
    - Do online banking and figure out whats going out and when so we don't go into the overdraft again.

    Phew, wish me luck!

Well and truly fed up today!

Seems like getting help around the house is to much to ask for from the kids & OH. My eldest is being a nighmare and generally i'm stressed to the max.

My eldest thought it would be a good idea to pinch the sweets and chocolates we bought for my youngest sons friends birthday and eat them for breakfast. So having to go to the shops for replacments today,it's coming out of his money box as i have nothing in the budget to buy presents twice. He also thought it would be a good idea to loose his P.E kit this morning emptying out all the cupboards out to find it and hiding his brothers reading folder in the process.

So both kids were late for school and the house is a tip again. Sat here thinking of a relevent punishment, either way they are both having an early night tonight as both of them managed to throw the biggest tantrum this morning you have ever seen. Bet the neighbors thought we were murdering them. In reality i was running round the house shoving the stuff, they are in charge of sorting out, into school bags in an effort to get them out the door.

Got some of the impossible list done yesterday and have done more today, but it seems like everytime I get something done another mess or drama is created elsewhere, so another busy day today trying to get on top of everything.

Feeling loads better today kids seemed to tow the line last night and even went to bed at 8, I followed that by a bottle of wine so managed a couple of hours me time which was great.

There was no work this morning so went to factory foods with mum and stocked up my freezers with at least a months worth of food for main meals and only spent £41.40 in cash from this weeks budget. Nothing like a guilt free girls shopping trip to make everything seem fine.

Off out in a bit to work on job 2 which only comes around a few days a month, delivering books. I have 1250 to do over the next few days so i'll be feeling fitter and the fresh air will do me good.

    Morning diary.

Yesterday didn't turn out as planned two of the males on my life have come down with a sickness and diarrhea bug so ended up staying home to look after them. I only have till tomorrow night to deliver all the books and help is limited at the moment so I'm off out on my own to get as much done as possible today.

I joined a couple of challenges last night and am hoping they keep me on track with the budget and debt repayments. Grocery challenge is in budget so far and hopefully I will only need milk before next Tuesday. Also started PAD as making minimum payments on the CC's will see me sat in debt for years.

Happy with the financial progress still out of the overdraft and the budget is being stuck to rigidly. Here's to lots of little over payments to see these CC's gone for good.

    evening diary.

All the books delivered, was really grateful to the OH & the kids who helped me with the last 1/4. Thank god the sickness bug didn't last too long. Should get the money for those sometime next week and every penny will go to the CC. It will be great to see a chunk off the figure soon.

Had a bit of a blow with one of the credit cards as i thought that it was 0% till march but it's only till the 11th of next month, luckily next months statement is generated around the 5th so will give me a chance to pay it down.

I think the other card is 0% till November but i will be double checking that tomorrow morning.

I finally feel like I am gaining some control over it all. The pressure to get rid of the debt and pass my driving lessons before the end of next year is great. That and my university application is what our future depends on.
