Had several calls from these guys. My partner avoided speaking to them because they were rude. Called again today. This time I answered the phone and they start off fine. But then when I said we would discuss it and get back to them if interested, he started getting very aggressive. So I hung up on him.

I can't believe a legitimate, successful business would speak to potential clients like that. I've been working on an adwords campaign myself and will just stick to that.

I've had some useful, free input from a webinar run by clairejarrett.com aimed at people doing the campaign themselves. Yes, she tries to get you signed up to a package of support which costs, but the seminar itself provides some good pointers for beginners (even if it does seem to go on for rather a long time).

Against my better judgement, I just did the 1 month trial for £89 and apart from all the adverse publicity here, there is something else that didn't add up. On checking Google Analytics, I can see that most of the clicks received on my 5 chosen keywords have a 100% bounce rate. They have all shown pages visited just 1 and a time on the site around a second. Historically, time spend on our site is at least 2 minutes with a minimum of 3 pages visited.

Against my better judgement, after a fairly hard sell on the phone, I just did the 1 month trial for £89 and firstly, I have to admin that my chosen keywords were at the top of Google within a few hours.

Apart from all the adverse publicity here, there is something else that didn't add up. I have to wonder if these clicks were genuine.

If anyone else has had a negative experience, let me know, I want to try and get my £89 back.
  • Here's a guy who wrote about all their advertising spend and it mentions Search Engine Easy near the bottom.

The whole thing is worth a read IMO

I have just received another call from them, the lady asked if I would like to be on page one of Google for my business and I politely said no thank you so she asked why?

I said I am not interested in Adwords and she told me it isn't Adwords, I told her it isn't possible to promise page one without using Adwords she replied yes it is.

I politely told her she is lying and she continued to argue saying she wasn't. I hung up as it gets tedious with these people. I certainly would not trust a company that tells lies.
  • Hi Peter Forum,

I'd be very interested to see how you got on this month. I am also a small company. I've got a great website, but struggle to manage all the seo and adwords etc. It does sound a great solution, but is it too good to be true?

One of my customers recommended them to me, but he is not in a very competitive market place at all. I'd be keen to hear about how its worked for you...

Well I have read numerous reviews on this company and there service, both good and bad

So I thought for the sake of £99 why not take a punt

So today i signed up and paid my £99

I told the sales guy it was a national campaign and I have very specific keywords

He tells me I can pick what ever keyword I want

I then get a call from there tech team to say they can only do local and my keywords can not be used so they will send me some suggestions.

So right away its the to good to be true scenario

I will update on my dealings with them as and when, but its not a very good start
  • It's not easy as we are thinking, anyhow if you bring yourself on top in Google but the big challenge is to maintain on the spot. You need to do lots of hard work behind this. Then only it is possible otherwise website loose his position regularly.
  • I've just signed up to Search Engine Easy and I must say they are a total scammers. Stay well away from them. I agreed 5 key phrases for London area for bedding products with the sales guy who was very pushy to get the sales done. However, when the tech team called me up to set this, they advised me that they couldn't do those keywords as they're too competitive. I had to send out email conversation as a proof that this was part of the conversation I had with the sales guy. Cutting long story short I agreed on 5 alternative keywords. The ad was set and I could see the visibility of the ad for only about 3 hours. However, it seems the way Search Engine Easy work is that they set a budget for the ad per day as I've not been able to see my ad since Friday. Been up for about 24 hours and still no ad shown and print screen shots have been taken by the hour. They claim that your ad will be on Google first page, but what they don't say is that it will be there for 24 hours for 30 days. They sales guy will say it on the phone but will never confirm this in writing so you're in a way messed up if you sign up to their service. Instead once the budget which they've set up have been used, you no longer see the ad. I probably think I get around 2 clicks and there goes my add out of Google. I could have set adword up myself instead of paying these scammers. Stay well away and its better to focus on SEO and using your hard earned cash with reputable company. I've learned the hard way that if something is too good to be true then stay well away. I'll be pursuing refund and will make sure I get this even if I have to go through Small Claims Court. I prefer to give all my money out to someone if there is honesty, but there are some greedy scammers who would do anything to get your cash.

Above all, this is just my experience and opinion of what I've been through. You can try them out only to find it'll be waste of money. Anyone else have had similar experience?

Just a small note, this thread was started in September 2011 and it seems strange that since then and now most of the posters on it have been Newies who have only made one post.
I wonder why so few came back to give a second opinion.
