If you don't get ANY sort of confirmation what on earth made you think you had booked. You had no confirmed booking number nothing on paper how did you think you were going to get through the airport?

I did have a reservations number. There was even an option to "print your itinerary" which i did. There was even details of the payment etc. Basically everything was exactly the same as a normal booking but i didn't receive the email.

Didn't you notice the money hadn't come out of your account?

My friend put it on her credit card for me as it was just before payday and the price was due to increase the following day. Therefore I wasn't the one checking otherwise i would have definitely noticed.

The irony is it would have probably only increased by £20!

If we come home in the morning there isn't much point going at all!

If you can't get through until the end of the month without 'borrowing' money from your friend perhaps it's best to pass on the trip anyway.

If it's so difficult to book and fly with Ryanair I often wonder why there are so many poeple on their planes, they seem to manage it.

I book around 10/20 flights with them every year, been doing it for 4 years and I've never had a single problem. What I don't understand is why other people have so many!! For me it couldn't be simplier...

I have bills to pay and I pay into savings regularly - this can sometimes leave me a bit short at the end of the month.

I am new to MSE and did not realise it was full of so many bitter and sarcastic people. I was simply asking for advice. If you don't have any to give why do you feel the pressing need to comment?

For some reason lrobinson88, this happens on ALL forums!! I was just replying to the most recent reply, didn't say anything to you as I'm afraid Ryanir are right and you are not.. I'm sorry about what happened to you though. I also bought some flights 2 months ago for some family and didn't bother with insurance, now a member of my family had an accident and we've lost the flights and the money.. it's very frustrating but it was my fault for not getting the insurance.

Hope you are luckier next time, always check when you buy flights the status of the reserve is CONFIRMED.
