Nicki , I'm so sorry for your loss and thank you even with everything you are going through for trying to help me xxxxx

Many many thanks ladies for all you have said, it makes it seem more common and less scary in a strange way, I did discharge myself pp as I couldn't have been on a ward with women being induced, it was way too much for me too handle in the state of mind I was in.

My swab the week before was clear of anything, though on Sunday when the midwife dipped into my urine she asked if my kidneys were playing up as there was protein and 4 drops blood?........I explained i'm bleeding so that's what that is prob down too and it was left at that, I have an 18 week Midwife appt at my local Dr's on Wednesday so I might ask them to re-do that urine test and send it over to be checked.

My goal is to get through each day with no more bleeding, I'm 40 hrs now so if i can get to morning that's 48hr's without a bleed. I have my 20 week scan on 20th Sept that seems to be too far to think about at the moment.

Thank you again for words and thoughts, and Nicki again so sorry xxxxx

And yep I saw the error i'm 17+6 not 17+7, I'm struggling to sleep at the moment as i'm scared something will happen if i sleep, I can't get comfy on left as bump flops a bit, hubby bought more pillows today, i eventually get an hour or 2 on my back as i'm scared of pressure on bump lying on my sides, Just wish I was able to actually enjoy this pregnancy.

Have you seen these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/DreamGenii-Maternity-Support-Pillow/dp/B000UTPIW6 My sister, and her friend both invested in one and have been sleeping much more comfortably since. It might help you too.

Try to relax, as hard as that is, and get some sleep. It will do you and baby the world of good, so try to think of it as a good thing rather than potentially bad.

I would def ask for your urine to be tested again, or maybe they can do a blood test (to eliminate contanimation from vaginal blood), just to be sure. Do you still feel the need to pee often (more than usual with the pregnancy)?

It's entirely possible you had a small infection, and your body has got rid of it naturally, meaning you wouldn't have anymore issues/symptoms.

Can you still get in the bath comfortably? If so, maybe get your hubby to run you a nice bubble bath, with a hot chocolate (or whatever your favourite is), and just chill out in there for a while before attempting sleep.

Did they rule out a urinary tract infection? I know you said it was def vaginal blood, but as it only seemed to show when peeing, and cos you had the need to pee so often, it's making me wonder. Hugs for you xx

    I thought this too.

God Bless little baby and please let him/her be healthy and safe until it's the right time to be born.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

Hi and many thanks for dream genie idea, I emailed hubby at work and he has now ordered it, Slept a bit better last night manly because I am so knackered, today is the first day I have been totally alone since it happened, Hubby has to work and is at least 90 mins away across London.

When I had the original bleed which was more discharge type blood, they then said it was from kidneys, but the Dr that saw me early hours of Saturday said it was def Vaginal?

I do have midwife tomorrow and I do intend to bring it up to her, I after the bleed episode needed loo every 15 mins, even now I have just been but can feel pressure building up to go again but try to hold on so i only go once an hour, I am drinking 2 and a half litres of water a day.

    Thanks for help x

  • Toniq - sorry to read of your troubles, but glad you are almost 48 hours without a bleed.

Just something that stuck out for me - try not to sleep on your back, they recommend your side.

I hope that the pillow allows you to sleep more comfortably, and that the midwife is able to give you better answers.

Did they test the blood at all, or were they going just on how it looked?

Either way, I hope that was the last of it, and that the rest of your pregnancy goes super smoothly and that you are able to enjoy it.

    xx

Had midwife appt, baby sounded fine, my urine was fine though she sent it to lab anyways to get it checked, she couldn't organise a blood test, so have booked dr's appt for Friday to do that, i'm still panicking alot I can't help it,i'm scared every time i go to the loo i will bleed, with hubby being back at work it doesn't help as i'm on my own, i think it will take a while for my head to calm down as i can't enjoy this pregnancy, i just need to get past the 24 week marker which seems so far away with me being 18+2 at the moment,
I do have 20 week scan in 13 days to aim for though xxx many thanks xxx

Try to keep your mind focused on something else. Do you play any computer games? Or do any crafting?

The baby is doing fine, so you can also repeat to yourself 'Don't worry until their is something to worry about.'. But, I find distraction is by far the best technique for me!

Nope don't do things like that, I usually clean like mad and comp, though haven't comped for a few months so didn't have laptop on lap for hours at a time, I will start comping again soon but can't concentrate.

Hubby has put loads of box sets on apple tv for me to keep me occupied but I suppose with it still being fresh in my mind i just got to keep busy.

Thanks euronorris for understanding i'm in sort of limbo land at mo, scared to feel anything or plan anything like we were xxxx
