im sorry but the world is a more dangerous place these days, yes we do hear about it more but there are so many more oppurtunites now as well which makes it easier, many more people which means more bad people. (as well as good i might add)

just for the safety factor alone why would you let 7 or 8 yr olds look after younger children. they are notresponsible enough in any way shape or from and if something terrible did happen how ould they feel. im sorry but its not right or excusable in any way

now way would i let my 3/4 yr old run around in the park on there own especially naked.

The child running around naked is not your child though, we were born naked so at an early age I suppose it feels more natural to be naked or the child got hot and removed clothing, they would not see it as wrong. At some stage supervision has to reduce and it would vary on individual circumstances.

It was the two small ones running around butt naked out of sight of their parents that bothered me the most tbh - if some monster had happened upon them they could have easily been well away before the parents got up the hill ......

The world isn't really like that. It's not an impulse decision, made on the spur on the moment by the fact the three year olds had no clothes on.

No woman, or man, walks into a park and decides to run off with two naked three year olds under their arms, while the rest of the group of children scream.

Thanks everyone for posting - seems I am in the minority with my opinion, which is fine as they weren't my kids.

I'm still not 100% sure I got my knickers in a twist over nothing though... I would and did supervise my LO directly at that age...... And would still disagree with anyone who didn't...

Still - I'm no perfect parent, and anyway it would be boring if we all agreed :p

im not saying the child should feel wrong for being naked, im saying its not right (in my opinion) that they shouldnt be naked in a park where any one can be, im saying the parents are in the wrong firstly for not supervising a child of that age, what if they had fallen off the top of the slide or came flying off the roundabout. children must be supervised, we cannot stop all accidents happening, my kids have had thier fair share but you can be there to minise the damage and stress that it causes.

and yes the world is really like that, and it does happen on impulse as well as planning. what about the children that get taken from busy shopping centres or off the beaches etc. of course it happens

but like i said, this is just my opinion, i appreciate everyone has thier own opinions and their own way of bringing up children im saying everyone else is in the wrong im just giving my opinion.x

There is no way I could leave my 3 year old unsupervised in a playground, I have to watch her to make sure she doesn't run in front of the swings or try to get on the roundabout when it's going really fast etc. I don't know anybody that wouldn't stay in the playground with children of 3 or 4, I don't think it's very responsible to do that. I wouldn't expect slightly older children to be keeping an eye out, either, they should be there to play and have fun, not look after their younger siblings because their parents can't be bothered.

As for their standing in the community, you can find irresponsible parenting in all walks of life.

I guess I must miss them all.

I just don't have the mental image of someone walking through the park, dropping their asda bags, grabbing two three year olds on an impulse, and running for the gates.

(I'd probably worry more about them running through the dog cr*p someone had not bothered picking up to be honest.
Or being bitten by the dog off the lead.)

I wouldn't let my child run anywhere naked in public (regardless of their age!) and at the age of 3 they'd always be within an arms distance, so I'd be just as shocked as you, and would judge the parents of these kids too.
