    Afternoon, How is everyone?

Haven't done any flying in ages as i couldn't keep up with the thread / lists, well anything basically.

But i am determined to start once again, battling through the multitude of junk / dirt.

Decided to look on the first page and lo and behold i've actually started the right thing yay!

Monday ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    Level 2
Dusting, even if around everything (not done shelves yet)
    Level 3
Put all hotspots into a pile/box and sort through it all while having a cuppa. (will do this when i've the junk off the shelves)
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing. See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house! Who needs new coats/boots for winter?
    Extras
Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    Defluff behind radiators..

Even washed the door and windows with snips help, he's off school and fuming that he has to tidy.
So my front room is looking tidy.

Well better shoot off and play on star wars with snips, we've walloped lots of storm troopers so far.

    Good afternoon :D
3 down, 2 to go :) Invoice passed over. She asked for bank details, and said she will sort it this afternoon :)

LR looks like a bomb has hit it, so I will tackle it at 5.30, when I can tidy up. DS is making a den in the DR :T so I think I may tackle some work-related paperwork while they are playing :)

I was going to do something else, but I can't remember what it was now :o That is why we make lists!!

Wilf55 - don't beat yourself up if you don't get it all done. Baby steps :) I know how you feel though. Just aim for level one, and it will get easier

LW - I have some spare spoons for you :) Try to relax & take it easy this afternoon x

ETA I have been paid :j:j

School shoes got.. totally traumaless.. apart from Tiddles.. the shop refused to sell us any shoes because she needs ankle support and the physio got snotty about piedros so I need to ring the physio now.. that should spit in her beancurd! And I have reminded myself why I do NOT EVER EVER EVER take the boy out together.. I know I am a bit tetchy but my goodness they are hard work!

Squeak has skinny skinny trotters.. D/E fitting... my others were all at least a G at her age.. apart from DD1 pencil feet who was also an E.. squeaklet has daddy feet!!!

I am now welded to the sofa.. despite the fact the front room HAS to be vacuumed today and the bathroom is a swamp!

  • ive built my 2nd clothes horse and have hung 2 loads of washing on it. couldnt get the washing out on the line as its periodically been raining on and off here this afternoon.

have decluttered some random stuff, i dont know where it breeds from, i know im not the tidiest person in the world, but tweezers down the side of the sofa???? random!

spare room still a tip, babys room still cluttered, i cant wait for my mum to come and help organise it in less than 3 weeks so im going for a hhc in the spare room now to declutter more carp!
  • Hi flygang,

Having quick break from mount ironmore, to declutter more money on urgent house repairs (why do things break in threes?), and cheer myself up on here....

Have a small request - does anyone have the "map to" analogy that helps explain your feelings over discovering you have a child with special needs? I found it really useful to explain to others over DS, and now I'd like to pay it forward by helping friends who've just had the "news" about their child. Thanks in advance 'cos I know someone will have it on this thread.

No I suppose I'd best go and do another HHI - I'm determined that I'll win and get rid before I go to bed...

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

  • Dishwasher man turned up  he strolled into the kitchen saying 'we don't normally get call backs on these.'
he then looked at my face, and DH's and said 'Did you call me?'
    I said 'No.' :rotfl:

He had dealt with somebody else with the same surname as us last week, in a town about 5 miles away! He apologised & left :D I did remember to thank him for popping by to make sure it was still working :rotfl:

Elmo1995 - Wow! you have been busy! Definitely the nesting instinct methinks :)
