Could your partner go to uni part-time? Open University? There are ways to do it and hold down a full time job.0

With your compensation over pay on the mortgage side. Do not buy any more of the rental part.
If you have a 25% mortgage and 75% rent each £1 you overpay your mortgage will help you out with £4 of negative equity. Put the loss onto the housing association. So your £6,000 compensation will protect you against £24,000 negative equity.
Shared ownership is a con, everyone should stay well away.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.
