Morning all!
More washing done, large pan of beef and mushroom simmering away ready to make a pie for dinner and leftovers for the freezer, peas soaking, just the tatties to do and dinners sorted. Mum arrived safely at brothers, so I am on aunty duty for 3 weeks, will go shortly and check what shopping she needs to keep her going till the home helps do the weekly shop on Thursday. Ironing mountain to climb when I get back, as am back to work tomorrow. Chest on fire, may need to fit in a visit to NHS24 centre for antibiotics too, can't have any time off work unless at death's door! Have a good day !RIP Iain

Morning all to have posted and to those yet to come
Well I am now back from my holiday with a mountain of washing. Load #3 is in. Typically got load #1 done yesterday and hung it out to dry and the neighbour warned me of rain over night so I had to get that in. Rain forecast all morning so looks like TD will have to go on as I need this washing mountain cleared.
Hopefully DH is going to do a tip run for me this morning to clear some clutter. Also put our TV unit on FC so hopefully someone wants that and takes it today so I can go ahead and buy myself a sideboard.
I think apart from the washing today could be quite a lazy day as me and DH are knacked. Who said holidays were relaxing lol

Afternoon all
Well I am sitting here in my nightie it's OK it's a tea shirt almost dress thingy and I put the washing out in it!
Major loft declutter going on as the insulation fitters will be here tomorrow. Nothing is going back up there! Ever again! When OH and DS have gone to the tip I will be able to get in the bathroom and have a shower.
We went to the Great Dorset Steam Fair yesterday with some friends and it was brilliant! OH didn't know what to look at first. I went on a steam driven galloper ride and I felt like Mary Poppins. It has long been my ambition to ride on one of those fairground rides with horses. I have never seen so many steam driven articles in one place together. My friend and I went on the big wheel and I came off it a very funny colour....but my friend got some amazing pictures as it was an enormous site. People camp and caravan there.
Hugs and good wishes to all who are ill or sad or have poorlies.

Afternoon all,
Late one from me today, Went out with friends for dinner last night- they were trying to distract me bless 'em, i didn't actually eat my dinner so i've got it in a tupperware box downstairs! Garlic Marsalla, my fave!
Grandad is stable, awake and seems okay. I'm going to look at getting a flight or train on wednesday. Need to speak to my FIL to see if he can sort out a flight.
It's pouring down here, i had to go to the shop and i look like a drowned rat! This means that i won't be doing much washing today. I need to give the house a once over, and then make a start on our dinner.
Slow cooked beef with thyme carrots and peas and stuffed jacket potatoes and a jam roly poly with custard for afters!
Gintot - I loooove Dorset, we never go anymore as OH's ex business partner is always there, but we used to go and camp every here. Our best friends grandad used to take his steam engine up there.

Ah thanks JackieG - the name escaped me!
Been out to Lid! for a few bits - cucumber, celery, lettuce all at good prices and their spinach was 49p a bag for weekend special. Got some of their fizzy vitamins as well.Oh and a couple of bags on quorn mince (£1.19 a bag).
Easy lunch - a cheese and lettuce sandwich yum yum. Tea tonight is going to be fish fingers and veg, so the freezer roulette has been decided!
Watched a programme on PG Wodehouse on i-player. Really enjoyed it. Such a lovely lazy way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Ok, off to strip our bed as I haven't seemed to get round to doing that despite wanting to do it for a few days now.

Got a call from my sister saying that Betsy has somehow got to the stitches on her knee so had to go with her to the vets as she absolutely hates going into the vets with Betsy. Vet had a quick look at the wound and took the rest out as they are meant to be coming out Tuesday anyway.

I think I mentioned H2B is on a trial drug for the tumor he has, it's been so successful with his type of tumor that it's going to start being trialled for breast cancer and other forms of cancer, it really might be a breakthrough in the treatments available, I truly hope it is as I think cancer is something that affects everyone at some point in their life, in one way or another.
Today OS wise I've swept the floors, cleaned the kitchen floor, got a gammon in the slow cooker for sandwich meats ( was only £3.50 for a 1.5kg joint, cheaper that buying sandwich meats! ), I've made some cranberry and white chocolate cookies and some sticky toffee cupcakes, just waiting for them to cool so I can ice them. They're to take into work on Tuesday for a charity bake sale. Doing roast chicken for dinner so the chicken's in the oven, need to prep the veg. Really looking forward to having a roast dinner, been ages since I've done one! The chickens huge as well so should do another couple of meals for us.
Ear is finally on the mend I think, starting to get my hearing back which is nice! Should be up to going running tomorrow night, haven't done any exercise in over a week now as I didn't feel up to it and it's been hard, I feel so lazy!Going to get to grips with food shopping again, starting February!
Got married to my lovely hubby on 12/11/2011

Afternoon all
It turned out to be a glorious day here, til about 4pm when the heavens opened, feels really wintery now
I did go out in the end. Went to Aldi and then look at cars with my friend and we popped for lunch and to shops too. We went to harvester for lunch, and I saw my aunt and little cousins, I popped to the loo and left my phone on the table, my littlest cousin (5) picked it up and somehow managed to crank call JackieG!!! :rotfl:Sorry!
So car wise, at the moment I'm swaying towards either Toyota Aygo or new shape Nissan Micra. I sat in both today and liked them, and they have decent boot space. I didn't test drive as I'm still not quite 100% over my last vertigo spell but hoping to try next week.
Have a good evening all

Just finished cooking DH's roast beef dinner, I have been feeling _pale_ since I had 1 cup of coffee for b/fast, lost 1lb since y/day. I'm scared shootles. Blood test tomorrow.
On a lighter note I did some gardening, feel I have to connect with M. earth in times of troubles/worries, and I picked some grapes I have on my vines. They were truly delicious I tried 2, DH had 12, so sweet and yummy. DH is impressed as he said they would never grow or be good enough to eat. Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah !!
Hearts and hugs to all. x0
