Blackberry 9780 bold. Great to use. Very slick and suarve. I have recently had an iphone but have wanted a blackberry for a long time. There are some aspects I do miss but the blackberry does have some great features.

What, one reviewer has problems and you expect me to think that the iphone is bad? :D

Say what you will, the iphone is the clear leader. The Android only makes up numbers because it is an OS, if it were tied to hardware, it'd be a different story. Fair enough, you can't get your hi-res camera or flash but you can't deny it is a good phone and possibly the best. I've been a PC user all my life, but since I moved to a Mac, there's no going back. Same with phones, I've used BB, Nokia, Sony, HTC, you name it, but give up my iPhone? Never! The statistics speak for themselves. x

Inside your head you are convinced the iphone is the best, it is best for you there is no denying that, a handset is only best if it suits the individual's needs, in an earlier post you you mention it does things so much better, yet you don't mention what , well anything at all really, the words you have used yet again are just buzz, words/phrases. The link is just one of many here, yes the iphone is an all right handset it is not the benchmark of smartphones though ;)
  • I have always had Symbian/Nokia and was reluctant to change but I now have a HTC Sensation. So far (only 3 days admittedly) I am delighted. I find it a much nicer experience than my wifes iPhone.
  • My recommendation would always be for an htc on android (don't bother with the windows ones). I've had htc's for the last 3 years, DH has had iphones for the last 4 years. He's hated every single one of them apart from the 3gs. His iphone4 is thrown across the room so often as it just doesn't do what it should be doing. WHereas I've never had a single problem with my htc's - hero & desire. My hero is 3 years old now and still working perfectly. The only one of DHs iphones that lasted longer than a few months was the 3gs until it was knocked into a few mm of tea. My hero however has been battered and abused, sat in a puddle of juice for a whole night without me realising and is still going strong. DH is desperate to get away from iphones and get himself an android of some nature (maybe htc, maybe the new samsung galaxy).

But lots of people love their iphones. I don't get it personally, I find them difficult to use, not just because I'm used to htc sense, I struggled with it before I had my hero. If you use a lot of websites with flash that will drive you mad. iphones still don't have flash on them, while most websites use flash rather tha html5. They are, in our experience, a lot less stable than an android - every iphone has crashed regularly, while neither of my htcs has ever crashed, the hardware is not as sturdy as an htc, can't comment on other brands. If you did get an htc, don't get the wildfire as it's very underpowered and has quite old hardware so will not do a lot of things that other phones will do (it's the same spec as the hero despite being a few years newer).

MOneywise, an iphone is going to be blimming expensive - iphone4 was £69 plus £35 a month contract. htc desire was free with £12.75 a month contract. I'm sure that would be a similar story for the majority of other non-iphones.

Basically iphones are like marmite, you love them or you hate them. If you have your heart set on an iphone you will get one no matter what other people say. If you are open to suggestions, go to Best Buy if you have one nearby as all their phones are live so you can have a good play. Their staff also seem to be genuinely impartial and more inclined to help the customer rather than seeing pound signs where the customer stands!
