Out of the Nokias what one is better the N8 or E9?0
-
Haven't tried the N9.
Once I saw the build quality , the camera and other features the N8 was the one for me.
As with all new models there were some software issues at first but these have all been ironed with the latest updates.
If I weren't judging it on the above the next would be the Samsung Galaxy S/S2 although the build quality and camera are not as good they are on a par with the iphone for useability. For me the important features were:-
Build quality
Camera
FM transmitter
Bluetooth versatility
Excellent email capabilities
I am not really interested in music players/video players/apps, so although the N8 is good with these, I realise that android/iphone can be better.
It all depends on what are you priorities, every phone has some shortcomings research for the one that best suits your needs.0 -

I have always used Nokia have always been reluctant to leave them.
However anytime you see an add for apps they are for the iphone.
Also had my phone stolen recently and like the fact Apple offer the app to lock and wipe your phone if its stolen does Nokia offer this?0 -
The big, big difference between Iphone and Androids is this.
Only Apple make Iphones - if you discount the fakes. With Androids, there are a number of manufacturers with a number of models that give you real choice of price, size, speed etc etc.
So, putting aside Apple's high costs and disputed reliability of some models, your Iphone choice is limited to one or two models at any one time.
On the other hand, you have a number of manufacturer teams from the other companies all developing new models - for example it is Android that has brought out 3-D first - not that I want it.
You have lots of choices on Android tablets as well if you want to be compatible.
I, personally, like the maximum freedom of choice and have always felt that, since the Mac, Apple have always seemed a bit smug to me.0 -
I downloaded Kaspersky Mobile Security from the OVI store and purchased a licence off Amazon for about £12.
I don't know how this compares with the equivalent on the iphone because I never tried it.
Kaspersky seems to cover all bases if it is lost/stolen as well as the usual internet security firewall/antivirus.
If your phone is stolen/mislayed you send it a special text, it then replies sending a text to another mobile and also an email giving the approximate location. The email contains a link to google maps showing you the location and it even links it to street scene so you get a photo of the approximate location within a few feet.
The OVI app store is pretty good but I am not really interested in apps unless they have a practical use.0 -
You are kidding us right? An iPhone wins hands down. A lot of cynics may say iPhone is just gimmicks blah blah blah. Yeah, I do agree it is a bit pricey and it has its faults but Most of these people criticising will have never owned an iphone. I've had BB in the past and my sister owns an android handset, and trust me, the experience on it doesn't match up to the iphone. The fact that Nokia and Android and BB are trying to develop the next iPhone killer is proof of how good the iphone is. Full stop.

What, one reviewer has problems and you expect me to think that the iphone is bad?
Say what you will, the iphone is the clear leader. The Android only makes up numbers because it is an OS, if it were tied to hardware, it'd be a different story. Fair enough, you can't get your hi-res camera or flash but you can't deny it is a good phone and possibly the best. I've been a PC user all my life, but since I moved to a Mac, there's no going back. Same with phones, I've used BB, Nokia, Sony, HTC, you name it, but give up my iPhone? Never! The statistics speak for themselves. x0 -
Why just 12 month warranty then if it is so "good phone and possibly the best"?
Why £69 for another year when almost for any other phone 3 years are available for £49 and this includes accidental damage?
The software is probably good and the case is shiny and the screen is nice. The rest of hardware is rubbish.0 -

Hi, there is no one phone that is best for everyone.
While I prefer the N8 I realise that other people have different needs.
It may be the leader when it comes to sales but it does not suit everyone and you have a blinkered view on the situation.Say what you will, the iphone is the clear leader.
I will say it again:
The iphone is a good phone..... full stop ..... but it isn't the best at everything.
1/ The N8 is a better build quality.
2/ The N8 has a better camera and lens.
3/The N8 has better bluetooth compatibility
4/The N8 is an execellent business tool with excellent email functions.
These are what I would base my buying decisions on.
Now, for the things you value most , I accept that the iphone may be the best for you.......but it is not wise to generalise and say that it is the clear leader..... maybe for you but thats your opinion.
It is a best seller, it is a good phone but it doesn't perform to the full in every feature.0
