  • Checked my receipt. I bought 4 Sanex cream baths (£2.48 each) and 6 Sanex shower gels (£1.79 each). Instead of taking off 2 x £2.48 and 3 x £1.79 it actually took off 5 x £2.48 making the products even cheaper.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

They wouldn't take all my vouchers at Tesco today, just one single solitary £2.50, so I had to tell the SA to take all the items off again. He had to wait for a supervisor to do it. I was NOT popular!!! Mind you, the simple solution would have been to put the vouchers through, I suppose.
  • Went to Tesco's today & did a welshy £20 H & B & I can confirm that Aquafresh 100ml Multi Action & Whitening is refunding more than you paid for it is 2.48, I bought 4 so BOGOF refund should have been £4.96 actually got £5.98 back !!

Young male cashier said he had taken nearly more coupons than cash today (little does he know why !!;) ) Then said someone did over £100 shop and after coupons only paid £6 - Welshy have you been up my neck of the woods !!!

Finally, Welshy don't pay any attention to negative comments, you are helping other mums maximise their family income and giving us the opportunity to give our family's things that we may not have been able to afford. I've gone from receiving about £4 a quarter in clubcard tokens to over £60 (and that was before I discovered H & B !!) and I am saving to take my family abroad which we have never done before, so cheers.

To echo the other posts re thanks to welshy.

Ive spent my whole life doing everything the "right" way struggling to bring up my dd with no help. Most of the time I felt I was banging my head against a brick wall trying to get any where. Now im still doing things the right way but thanks to this site and people like welshy im a. not being ripped off by massive faceless conglomerates anymore and b. usng my head to use said conglomerates own policy/offers to full affect. Thankyou all and especially welshyxxxxxxxxxxx

OMG, I did 2 £20+ H&B shops today, had the batch sorted out for the first transaction and the Daily Mail one scanned as did the H&B ones, and some other coupons too.

BUT I have just realised, on my second shop I forgot about the £5 off £20 coupon...and I have loads of them. What a waste, must be getting old!

Oh well, I bought a couple of higher-value beauty items which are sealed so I may just return them for a refund, and re-buy them again. There is still time to use some more couopns up but how can we fit in this sort of shopping when we've also got to buy Christmas goodies and do 101 other seasonal jobs that OH thinks 'just happen' by magic....

I bought some things I didn't really want (excess christmas presents for just in case) and went to return them and the Cs manager said you can't return them as you have used vouchers.

I said is this a new rule. She didn't answer but wouldn't refund. Instead wrote on my receipt 'no refunds as vouchers used'. I wasn't happy and told her I was going to ring HO. (haven't done so yet).

So watch out as they seem to be making new rules.

Just to say - Welshy ignore the horrible comments from 1 individual. I've never perceived your posts as boasting - in fact you and some of the others on this site are my inspiration! I've gone from collecting £12 of clubcard vouchers a quarter to £100 a quarter - all due your tips! So thank you and please keep posting!

Went today to do a last H+B shop and get some clothes. Put through my shopping with the H+B products handed over 2 vouchers for H+B which she then scanned and she said I don't know if I can take both and called a supervisor over who voided the whole transcation and then 15 minutes later put it through with just one voucher. Didn't dare hand over a gold clothing voucher. So I though I'll take it all back to CS and get a refund and then she came rushing over again saying the vouchers clearly said only one coupon could be used etc etc. A very embarrassing 45 minutes.

Take it on the chin Ella and do not give up. There are many cashiers who will take as many coupons as you can pass on - remember their faces and use them regularly. My best moment came on thursday evening when I did a huge shop £210 with clothes etc. I gave him a wad of coupons and my bill came to £58:T

I used my first 5.00 0ff 20.00 voucher today. I spent 20.00 on BOGOF. However, my voucher wouldn't scan on the self checkout till (a message came up that I hadn't spent the required amount to use the voucher). A very helpful SA...middle aged too! came over and I explained that I had spent 20.00 on H&B products, so she keyed in some numbers and then the voucher went through. When I got home I checked my receipt and discovered why the till had not taken my voucher. I'd only spent 19.40 on H&B products. I must take a calculator with me next time I go shopping with vouchers LOL

Thanx again Welshy for explaining how the voucher works with BOGOF. I got a whole bag of stuff today for under 5.00:j
