  • i'm being thick but just want to check ... the toothpaste pump and the shower gel that comes up with a bigger BOGOF discount - i don't need to add it up differently do i? will it still be a £20 spend, but will just cost less than £10 at the checkout? sorry but i'm not very clever today lol!

Yes I tried it myself today ;) Just calculate the £20 spend as you would normally. The till still thinks you've spent £20 regardless of what it then takes off for bogof :T

  • Checked my receipt. I bought 4 Sanex cream baths (£2.48 each) and 6 Sanex shower gels (£1.79 each). Instead of taking off 2 x £2.48 and 3 x £1.79 it actually took off 5 x £2.48 making the products even cheaper.

I also found that this happened today.
I bought 2 Sanex creme baths (£2.48 each), 2 Sanex shower gels (£1.79 each) and 2 tesco wipes (99p each).
This came to £10.52 then I was deducted £4.96 for the Sanex items (should have been £4.27)and 99p for wipes, used a £2.50 coupon (used all my £1 ones), so paid £2.07.

Going to try 6 shower gels, if it deducts same then should get all for 80p!!

Is the Sanex glitch due to there being two sizes available for the shower gel? Do you have to buy the smaller size to get the bigger discount?

I really like Sanex so I've stocked up on the shower gels, but I was buying the big 500ml bottles.

I have a couple of vouchers, but not sure how to use them at checkout,is this for self scan only or checkouts,as the at the checkout after your products are scanned by CSA,they tell you your total to pay,so say you spend £11.00 in BOGOF,but after BOGOF taken off the total say might be £5.00, and that's what you have to pay ? so how can the vouchers be used if you need to spend over £10.00.
Sorry to seem dim,but i see others asking this too,so hopefully not just me being dumb.

For example if i was going to spend £10.00 before BOGOF,what's the recommended amount of tesco vouchers to use?

I just don't want to get to the checkout and get told your total is £5.00,hand them a voucher and then get told, not enough spent for vouchers....:T

    Thanks,brill thread too....

It really depends on the CSA I normally puy my H+B products through with other shopping so the total is always over £10 and this normally works. Don't know what others do.

I've been just buying the small ones. Didn't realise they had bigger shower gels. Thought the bigger ones were for the bath.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

ok you need to calculate before bogof so you buy £20 of stuff, after bogof its £10. you then hand over 2x £2.50's and then 5 x £1's to make it nothing to pay. put it all through with your normal shop :)
or if you just want to use one lot of coupons.. calculate £10 beofr bogof, so its £5 after, use 1x £2.50 and 2 x £1's making it 50p to pay. hope that helps MM x
