my sister's church asks for toiletries for the lcoal shelter for domestic violence victims, apparently most women/children turn up without anything, having made a spur of the moment run for it, so they need toothbrushes etc. until they can get their finances sorted out/apply for benefits etc.52% tight0

The £5 over I used against a cd or dvd and slipped them a £4 book voucher too meaning that the kiddies had 4 cds/dvds off their lists for less than £1.50 each

Hi - I think I just read your similiar posting on the clothing voucher thread - and asked you a question there about how you did this (i.e. what did you buy), but I have just found this thread here, so if you wouldn't mind answering here I would be very grateful. I managed to pick up about 6 leaflets - please can you let me know what you bought in each transaction - thanks v. much.0 -
Ok, Had a really bad shop in tesco's today! (why did I go on a sunday????)
My local store has run out of a lot of the BOGOF offers so I decided to buy some stuff that I sort of needed and some gift sets so that I could donate to the charity raffle at work. My bathroom also looks a lot like a tesco isle!
Spent £21.70 on toiletries, after one bogof it was £19.27, I had loads of food club/wine etc vouchers also so went to a cashier who is normally fab. Would take only 1x £5 off, two £2.50 off and only one £1 off. She took all the points ones I had though.
I had also spent £5.60 on cold and flu,and another £14.87 on smoking patches for OH, but she would only take 1 x £1 off health care. I'm gutted. On my way out I saw a tesco employee I know who advised me to try fri nights and sat's because that's when a lot of new / temp employees are on the tills and they don't know the rules!
To make matters worse OH was meant to pick me up,but he got stuck at work, had to get a cab home!!!
I'm also gutted because that's all of my points vouchers gone but I still have some money off. If anyone feels generous and can spare some, please pm me.

What I will be doing this Christmas is make up my own toiletry hampers with all these goodies0 -
sorry for being thick but i couldn't find a clothing thread (no pun intended haha!), where is it please?
just a note for the people i sent my spare clothing vouchers to last night - you can use all 3 together if you spend at least £30 on adult and £25 on kids, so that's £22 off a £55 spend, a 40% saving.52% tight0 -

Hiya jap200  I bought different items; one lot I did was 8 packs of facial wipes at £2.56 each making £20.48 to pay - bogof = £10.12 then handed over 5 x £1 vouchers, 2 x £2.50, 1 x £5 voucher meaning I was £4.88 up on the transaction to use against other purchases. I also used 10 x 50 pointers so gained 500 points and also slipped some other vouchers in to.
There are lots of combinations to try, wipes, toothbrushes, shampoos etc. I check tesco.com work out the prices and write out my shopping list before I go.
