She might want to avoid the chocolate too because of the caffeine, because it goes through the milk into baby.
And just to totally dampen your fire, I had so many flowers after giving birth I had nowhere to put them all!
I think there are much better suggestions on his thread.
You can drink alcohol when BFing surely you know from your training that the BFN say its ok to drink a small amount and to wait 2-3hrs before BFing the baby after consumption to avoid transfer.
I don't know the figures but I'm sure there's hardly any caffeine in chocolate.0

Some fab ideas here! I'm planning on buying something for my friend when she has her baby, and wasn't sure what. I like the idea of jama's, but don't want to offend her by picking a size! I already know what I'm getting baby, but wanted a pamper for mum, she's had a tough pregnancy and deserves a pamper!0

Even so, she might prefer to avoid them - I avoided caffeine and alcohol for six months, so if she did that they would be wasted gifts. That was my thinking. If she is co-sleeping alcohol is a no-no, so again not a great gift. You just don't know what a woman might be thinking/wanting to do, so 'dodgy' gifts like that are best avoided until you have more information IMO. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

 I thought that too!!
There are some really good ideas on this thread...I went from having no clue what to buy to having trouble choosing which one to go with! (and having a hard time resisting temptation to get it all)Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0

Haha - sorry i totally wasn't having a go at all :A I work in a place where i have to have contact with mums/babies/kids for a majority of each working day and it made me laugh cos LOADS of people do actually call them musliM cloths.. and i can't laugh with them and explain cos i might be seen as being mean etc etc. So it was years worth of repressed laughter tbh! Soz
Also, once i had a mum tell me that was wasn't going to use "them muslim cloths anymore cos of the bombings - i dont want my money going towards things like that"..... OH how i kept a straight face i shall NEVER know! :A
Omg, that is just sooo funny!
Thinking about drinking while breastfeeding, Mackesons is supposed to be good for keeping your milk up (it's a bit like Guinness).Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £19,575.020

Mackeson and blackcurrant is less disgusting than the stout on its own.
I drink alcohol and coffee and am breastfeeding, I have not been advised to give up either, but be moderate. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
