I'm with Natwest, worst bank ever, had nothing but hell, but didn't recieve a statement from them AGAIN in december, so went into the bank, and paid in via the branch using a slip frm an old bill, and just got my new statement, and lo and behold, late payment fee, natwest credit card havn't recieved any payment! So not only do I have a credit card which occasionally sends me statements and refuses to take off payment protection which I did NOT give permission to be added, I now have a bad mark on my credit record and a fee because now it seems the branch has screwed up! I am so angry right now, thank god i've only got a little bit left to pay off then can get rid of it for good!
Sorry for the rant, just needed to vent.

Direct debit avoids late payment fees (though the fact you cant set up DDs over the phone with Natwest Credit Card is a bit of a pain).
Have to say never not received a natwest statement... are you sure it is their fault and not one with the postal service? All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

actually thinking about it i havent received one from HSBC in a while but i check online daily almost and it was clear (until today)HSBC CC - £3000 / £3000
Halifax CC - £1032.77 / £1032.77
Mortgage currently at [STRIKE]£82,299.71[/STRIKE] £76,017.62 would love to overpay0 -
I've tried setting up a direct debit with Natwest, they claim I can only do it from another Natwest account - I switched to Halifax because Natwest drive me up the wall. I can't pay online for the same reason ¬¬~*Cerenia*~

I even get NIl statements from Nat West in months when I have not used the card so I imagine you have a postal service problem.
put the statement and pay dates in your diary and make sure you remind yourself - depend on no one else and then you can only blame yourself if things go wrongJohn0 -
I'm blaming myself for losing the payment receipt from when I paid in at the bank >.< Using my statement I've pinpointed it to being the 6th december. Just confused how it can go missing from being paid in to being sent to the credit card office~*Cerenia*~

Complain and say that you DID pay in on 6th December, they do have CCTV to prove that isn't true if they think you are lying, it will also prove you aren't.
Open a Natwest current account (no extras just a simple free current account) use it for nothing other than to BACS money into and then pay off the card.
Can't you pay by BACS from another bank's account anyway? I don't know since I've never tried doing it but you should be able to, as for saying they can only take a direct debit from a Natwest account that is just !!!!!!.
I work for Natwest as a cashier and card services are useless c****, the number of complaints from people having trouble with credit cards is unbelievable and we are very limited in what we can do in branch with the cards. If you don't like what I say slap me around with a large trout and PM me to tell me why.

Forgot to say...
I've asked before and never had a satisfactory answer, why does a payment from a Nationwide flexaccount to a Nationwide credit card take a day but do the same with Natwest and it takes 4?
Also, why if you pay cash into your local branch the day before the payment is due are you charged for a late payment (it takes several days to get to card services) admittedly it does take that time to get the money to the department is going to BUT they know it is coming so could avoid issuing a penalty and they could backdate payments to the time you paid it into the branch.
Finally, you can pay money into your current account using cash machines that have deposit slots, why can't you pay money to a credit card account with them?
* RANT OVER *
* CARD SERVICES !!!!!! ME OFF TOO *

I've got a current account, forced into it when i was working with Natwest, and i'm not using natwest, once debt's been paid, its all going. Oh yea, can't close it either because of having a credit card, yet I know several customers that only have a credit card.
Nationwide only takes a day? Nice!~*Cerenia*~
