Which would you do? I've taken a pic but haven't done anything with it!

I'm more annoyed they didn't just tell me, I now have to take it to the dump!

    But I have a lovely house :)

I can be a bit of jobsworth and bl**dy furious at the sellers taking the mick so I'd do the former.

But I think that most people wouldn't have the energy!

It is tempting but I'm not sure we'd get anywhere? Although surely a contract is a contract?!

I used to do conveyancing and the very first one I did was a nightmare. My client got her keys and when she went to her new home, everything had been taken, even down tothe interior doors. They'd even cut the light fittings out of the ceilings, they'd taken the toilet seat and the worst thing of all.... they'd dismantled an entire fireplace brick by brick, and left her with a massive hole in the wall from floor to ceiling.

Congratulations on your move. Get cleaned up and enjoy it, but I think it's definitely worth mentioning to the EAs or your solicitor.

The EAs won't be bothered. It's a breach of the contract, which is a matter for the solicitor rather than EA (if one chooses to pursue this).

Thank you, solicitor won't be back in office til monday so that gives me chance to decide!
  • Some people really don't care these days do they?
I moved in to a spotless house and will be leaving it a spotless house with a card and a bottle of wine for the new owners. Having to clean all day doesn't half take the gloss off moving to a nice new house.

Congratulations to all that have moved today and hope you are all happy in your new homes.

When my sister moved into her house someone had taken a massive dump in the loo and not bothered to flush it...!
