Like I said previously I can't go wrong with them. I've just placed my 3rd order and I've been really pleased with what I've had so far.

I don't find the fresh meat very good value though - the chicken I had for 3.99 was very small and £2.50 for 3 pork steaks wasn't that good VFM.

I'll still use Asda/Tesco for my meat and frozen foods but Rosspa for everything else!

Lets just hope their prices dont creep up like Approved Foods did when they became popular....
  • Im just about to make my second order with them, my parents have made two orders already. In terms of delivery there seems to be no expected timeframe, most couriers we see on the street at the same sort of time everyday, with citilink we had one delivery at 10am, one at 2pm and one at 5pm. So whereas with rosspa you can choose the day, with approved food they do send you an indication of the hour of delivery as soon as they can.

The fruit is fantastic and very good value if you are unable to get to a decent market. I've just ordered some meat but tbh, I find the meat from asda/tesco to be expensive and tasteless these days. Sausages, black pudding and bananas got the vote of approval from the parents. I got two packs of hotdog rolls which got mouldy within three days which I thought was a little quick and sometimes the fresh cut bread can taste a bit stale (but then every fresh cut loaf from tesco ive had delivered has also been slightly stale so that might have something to do with storage/delivery). The bags of grated cheese tasted a little off to me but the block cheese is fine. All the stuff in packets is absolutely fine.

Extra pluses - everything is still in date. They sell alcohol, fresh fruit and veg, fresh meat and fish and dairy products so they beat approved food hands down. I used to love approved food but the prices have crept up and its nearly all sweet stuff, with rosspa you can balance your order a bit more.

Bit odd that the OP did a hit and run and an old thread was brought up by someone voicing with what appear to be unfounded concerns about the business being hidden in some way and at the same time promoting a competitor? Apologies if my cynicism is misplaced.
  • I have had 2 orders from Rosspa and they were fantastic, packed beautifully, with cold stuff in a cold box. Was looking to put in another order soon, but am having trouble finding the weight allowance, i am going through deleting things, but wondered if anyone knew what it was, thanks

i find the bacon a good deal 4.5kg for £12 and mine was thick cut with not much water added in it better than some supermarket brands.
