I expect the end of the school holidays have something to do with it, although its no excuse for foul language

I had a shout at my son this week - very embaressing and I'm sure I will be flamed but for 6 weeks everyday I have had to wipe his wee from the toilet seat, finally yesterday I shouted from upstairs 'IF YOU DON'T STOP DOING THIS YOU KNOW I WILL HAVE TO CHOP IT OFF DON'T YOU'

I only realised the neighbour heard when I heard her laughing in her garden!

I went out and apologised and she said don't worry about it she had sons so she knows how I feel

    I am so embarressed!

Btw, my son is not scared or worried by what I said, he laughed like a drain ;-/

There are 3 types of child abuse.

    Sexual

    Physical

    and Emotional.

People wont hestitate to report the former two, but why not emotional abuse? Shouting, swearing, belittleling are all equally horrible forms of abuse, so why allow it to continue.

Also by reporting, you may finally be able to get these families the help they need.

Nine times out of ten these parents just need some parenting classes.

Why is being a single parent significant???

In this case the fact that the housing association have swapped 'like-for-like' - one screaming single mother with two kids for another one and I never noticed the difference at first.

When I first moved in there was a two parent household there.

I feel your pain - mine's 18 soon and will he LIFT the seat beforehand?:p He assures me it's not him. He's the only male in the house but it's not him. I'd have to be a contortionist to get 'it' where he does;)

I remember being in a shop in town and being gobsmacked by hearing a woman bellow at her son - You effing come here when I tell you to, you little effing pervert, Im effing fed up of you - you shouldve, effing effed off with your effing father' followed by a loud slap! I looked round and this huge woman was grabbing this kid of around 8 or 9 and shoving him ahead of her............I looked round and everyone was sort of in freeze frame - we just couldnt believe it - then she slapped the kid round the head and pushed him out of the shop! I am ashamed to say I didnt do anything - I felt sort of numb and didnt even move - then it was like life started up again.......the customers all sort of went 'some women shouldnt have kids and the assistants did too. but none of us DID anything! I can still see the kids face - fear on it and I wish I had DONE something, but dont know what!

DS3 is 12 and I have had the same.. in the end I told him I would mop it up with his pillow off his bed.. in reality I call him to come upstairs and clean it up and tell him how nasty it is to sit in someone elses cold pee and how he would like it... it is VERY VERY slowly filtering through his male skull .. I told him he could either lift the seat, sit and pee or clean up his own mess.. which WILL include mopping the floor if he pees on that!

I told him I would tie a knot in it so he filled up with pee and popped too.. he replied.. no you wont it is too little!!!! LMAO!!!! (he gets that from his dad lol ... the small willy not the humour!)
