Reliance have responded sating that as they were not responsible for the sale of the policy through Direct Auto Finance Service Ltd (DAFS Ltd) I have been redirected back to DAFS Ltd. There fore I shall pass onto the FOS and see what happens and post an update here.
If this is being duplicated in another forum please can you let me know
Cheers

I had an odd response to my letter sent to NIG from RBS PPI team. Saying that DAFS/Yes Car credit are not affiliated with them so nothing to do with them . I have sent a letter back to them (NIG) saying that the paper work has them down as the insurers so please send a final response. Interesting merry-go-round seems to have started.0

All three companies listed as under writers for the policy have now given final responses and re-directed me back to YCC. I have today sent all paperwork to FOS and will let you know what happens....not as confident as I was at the beginning though.0

FOS have confirmed they are investigating the underwriters re the PIP but are unable to with the GAP...bit annoying.0

Never even thought about claiming this back! I was literally forced into taking the GAP insurance else I would not get the car. Looks like I'll be starting another letter tomorrow!
Many thanks

It seems that everyone who bought a car from yes car was forced into all insurances, ppi gap and mechanical breakdown insurance.
i have an ongoing ppi claim with them since january this year. they responded to a sar i sent them with all of my details, since then i have sent many a letter regarding ppi but no response.
I know that everyone will say i shouldnt but i am now using a claims company to see if they can help. i thought seen as i am getting nowhere i might aswell.
they have also sent them a few letters with no response. it has now been escalated to fos, will wait to see if we get any help. I know that in 2003 when i got the car they wern't under the fsa so may not get anywhere.
Will post up any responses i get!0 -
