I was really lucky today - managed to find a TomTom 750 Live on display. Scanned at £25, and with the £20 off TomTom petrol coupon, made it £5! Very pleased as just broken my dad's one, so everyone happy :)
oh well done, i searched every store within 50 miles of me but every one didnt have any stock. boo hoo.
life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.

just a heads up......when i went last night, i commented to the check out lady (to distract her from the barbie toys i was buying!) about how easy it is to overspend on toys.....she then told me that Monday will be manic as they are starting a massive pre-xmas sale on everything!!! Not sure if this is store specific (this was Bee*ton, Not*ingh*m)....but worth popping in Monday to see if theres any deals or misprices!
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!
  • M'H*ll and St R*ll*x cleaned out. OOS stickers everywhere. The staff saw me browsing the cameras and asked, 'Oh, have you been on that website?', quite cheekily I thought. Just played dumb and managed to get the last Casio Exilim off the display at £30.
They have all the camera boxes' fronts photocopied and stuck in a plastic box, so the staff have to go look for something in the back if you want to check prices. As I paid, the checkout girl said, 'Oh, I got one of these yesterday'...think the staff did have quite a few of the bargains once they realised they were going cheaply.
Fair enough, given the rudeness they have to put up with from some customers demanding a £20 camera!

Both twin DVD's (man and boy) scanned at full price for me. Better luck next time!

Overheard managers talking about garmin sat navs in my local tesco yesterday. Had a big list of things they were taking off the shelves and into the back both chuckling as they done it.
  • I read today that Tesco is looking to cut the price of thousands of items, i can't help wondering though whether they are really doing this out of the kindness of their heart or there is a hidden catch?

I read this last night http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/shopping/2011/09/tesco-slashes-clubcard-rewards-to-finance-price-drop

Guess it's not just out of the kindness of their heart :(
