Thread got delted but just want to say the 'swap your extra stash' thread is just driven by greed.

Instead of getting what you need yourself you'd naturally go and get as much as possible (which is what alot of people prob did or do.. cant deny it).

But at least on MSE we ignore or skirt around the issue. If someone say a camera for £15 in tesco and was worth £50 on ebay... and there was 10 of them...

Maybe 1 or two would buy 1 each or 2 each but then someone would clear the lot and sell on ebay, using the very information they got for free from someone kind on here.

Funny world isnt it :P. Then the next person would come along... with the information looking for one and get none....
  • Having read all the success stories and trawling my local Tesco stores I had all but given up, then!!! Today spotted an RAC sat nav for £ 30 but there were none left but a very friendly young man said there were some Tom Toms in the back and produced an ex display, but in the box, Go Live 550 which started life at £199.97 and offered it me for £35, I had also got a voucher last week from the till for £20 off Tom Toms so £15.00!!!!

He then pointed me at the cameras and said a load more were coming out and hey presto, 8 baskets appeared! I picked up:

    Panasonic FS30 Lumix £30
    Fuji Finepix Ax280 £20
    Fuji Finepix AX245W £20
    Panasonic DMCFS30 £30
    Panasonic FZ38 Lumix £50
    Vivitar X225 £19.97
    Vivitar 510N video recorder £5
    GE A1455 £20

was about to leave when the guy said they also had......

Philips SPA 3210 USB speakers £4.75

    and.....

Technika 5mp cameras which had been £19.99 for 50p!!!!!

May not keep it all but Christmas well and truly sorted :-)

Oh, and they were still scanning and pricing stuff up so loads left, said they were desperate to clear the warehouse.

This was at Wigan Extra about an hour ago.

    Have faith!

Thanks to this thread I found with a very out of date SEL and neither were there before today thought I would double check the price and it scanned £12!

Gear4 Alarm Clock Radio for iPod and iPhone, Model CRG-70W - Barcode 5060135918088

Sorry cannot remember what SEL was actually for, box is a bit battered but happy for that price and it was the last one on the shelf in my store.

They have a "Sale" bin full of the £5 headphones at Can*l Rd Br**ford. They also have 3 of the photo frames left (I took one).

I still can't find my DD a camera though :(
Lots of the local population are rather business minded, and I suspect most of the cheap stock is bought up to be resold. I used to find the B@tley Extra store was often quite good for picking up deals posted on here when I lived in Leed$.
Wanted a job, now have one.

This was the Tom Tom One IQ Routes edition. Barcode: 0636926026604. It is an orange box. HTH

The sales assistant was so helpful with me, they did not have any out on the aisle and so she went to check in the stock room and brought out all the Tom Tom models they had and scanned them all for me, this was the only one reduced!

    Thank you Twinklyeys

Well I did my mammoth road trip and i've got a SAT NAV!! I asked in every store and finally someone found a Tom Tom one in the back. I got it scanned and it was £30!! Even better, they waited while I went out to the petrol station and filled my car up, got my £20 voucher and ran back with voucher in hand.... so Sat Nav for £10!! I honestly can't believe it!

Thanks everyone who has posted, i'm still shaking!!
