Has anyone had any luck in Northern Ireland? Have been to a few stores and found nothing :(

Don't know where your local is over here but Ive had some success in the Cra1gav0n extra store...hoover £18, panasonic camcorder £15, gear4 ipod clock radio £12, sony headphones £4 and my brother got a £99 netbook. Still on the hunt for a camera as mine died completely and maybe electric blankets and DD wants a tv for xmas. And I've seen a few posts from Belf@st MSErs on here too. Helps if you can get the models/barcodes from on here of anything you'd like and use the instore scanners to pricecheck as the SELs are much higher prices than what scans. Haven't been out for a couple of days and itching now to check again. Maybe go and make friends with the tech guys, see if I can flirt, I mean chat my way into a bargain :D. Good luck

Oh my gosh I have to tell you this. I've just had a call from my credit card company........fraud prevention! It has flagged up on their system that my card has been used in up to eight Tesco's in the midlands everyday for the last week! They asked me to confirm this was me......... and I felt so silly I was apologising!!

I told him about all the bargains and we ended up having a laugh about it. He said that they are really busy at the moment as there is a lot of unusual activity going on with lots of people but a lot of scammers work by spending lots of smaller amounts in rapid succession so as not to get found out..... I have the spending habits of a scammer:rotfl:

What stores in the Midlands?? I have been to Tesco Shirley / Monskpath who have told me they dont have any end of line!

    Cheers

Mine are the other side of the Midlands, Lough, Notts and Leics. Sometimes I only spent a couple of pound on the meal deal when hunger crept up on me and often it was only a small shops up to a fiver for things like headphones etc. Thats why i was flagged up.

Ahh I see, I havent tried the smaller Tesco's, so I spose its worth a try! Could do with some headphones!!!!
  • Well I've just called 3 stores in C0v3ntry, apparently they've not heard of any cut price items and have no idea where that information has come from, said all the laptops are displayed and that's the price they are, blah blah blah!!

Am loving reading about all the bargains and the nice people that are getting things for others! I managed to get one of these today for the tiny sum of £4.50, have been wanting one for a couple of years and this was too good to miss. I am still hopeful of finding a netbook for my DS in the West Midlands somewhere.;)
  • Anyone have the barcodes for the cheap sat navs ?

They have quite a few in local extra but they are all boxed in big pastic cubes, I don't want the hassle of taking them all to desk. Its the TOM TOM i've after ;)

    I'd also REALLY appreciate a list - any type of sat-nav! :)
