I have worked hard getting these deals as well. Its all worth it though as I have xmas just about sorted. I have never used so much fuel in my car. Debating on weather to get dressed and go out again even though I am feeling really poorly, but I dont want to miss anything lol. My DD and house mates want external hard drives if I see any for their uni work. I, like some of the other posters I am not buying to ebay. I bought a HP notebook yesterday and let my mum have it for what I paid. So now on the look out for a laptop for me when I am layed up in bed which happens often as I am poorly.
My house looks unrecognizable. I have so much house work to do lol. So what do I do, have a day off or go for it again. Was in P3t3rborough 3xtra yesterday for 6 am and a manager told a member off staff to watch those people who have just come in they are from that website. The cheek of it. Its only the second time I have been in that store.

Weeeeellllllll, I permanently have MSE open and flit back and forwards. But confess not much is getting done but it doesnt affect me answering the phone;) I have my own office that I work in 3 days a week and then I work with my OH in his office 2 days a week. In his office our computers are back to back so he can't see what I'm doing;):rotfl:

Sounds like a good job. Particularly like the last sentence but remember, if he can't see what you are doing you can't see what he is doing!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

100% agree. Yesterday as I was sat in my car setting the sat nav for the next store whilst eating my Tesco sandwich I thought to myself, omg I'm nutty! I have only bought what I need though and i've left stuff for other MSE'rs. I'm not an ebayer or anything, I would rather we all get stuff.

I'm tired today but I would go out again for a bargain! :D

:rotfl:I have spent a small fortune on Tesco sandwiches and costa coffees over the last few days!!!
  • What's all this stuff about peeps being banned from stores, don't Tesco have to get a court order because it's a public place?

I don't beleive Tesco IS a public place. It is a building owned by tesco and therefore has the right to allow access or not to whoever they deem appropriate.

Wrong Tesco cannot ban people willy nilly! in this country we have anti discrimination laws .
You can sue Tesco and probably obtain compensation (on merit).
Tesco will have to prove that it acted reasonably in banning you, and that is not as easy as it may sound.

By 'public' I guess you mean open to the general public, in such cases it is even easier to prove discrimination.

Go to advicenow.org.uk search for discrimination by shops.
    cheers

i remembered same things happended to me few months back to me a sainsbury

they were having clearance for mobile phones. when i asked the sa she claimed the key is lost, nobody can have access to it till next day.

i felt a bit weird so i proceed to the store manager. he was baffled and immediately asked the particular sa for the key. because he said theres NO way the key is lost.

the manager asked the sa to take down my name and asked her to phone me when the key is found. she never called me. i phoned back and asked to speak to the manager, he was ever so nice and asked me for my name and come down and get the phone. he got all the phones next to him , in his drawer.

i suppose the staff were trying to get the stocks for themselves. sorry for ruining that. x

That sounds so familiar! I usually know when I'm asked if I can be at home on Monday etc as we will be expecting a delivery! Hmm broom handles, okay if you have a coven of witches but not sure if tramp or trampettes use them!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    At swansea marina now...
  • got myself a proper bargain today! i decided to return the photo frame that i bought yesterday (impulse buy!) to my local store that doesnt have as bigger electrical department as the tesco extras. whilst at customer services i asked if they had any discontinued cameras and the lady there made a phone call. a security guard turned up and said there were a few out back and he went to see what he could find. out he came with 5 boxes and then to my surprise took me to a self scanner that i hadnt seen before. how i have never noticed this scanner is beyond me, i walk past it all the time! anyway, the first camera scanned at £79.99, then the following two boxes turned out to be missing the cameras! the 4th box however was a olympus x925 that was ex display and to the shock of us both scanned at £10! the security guy then said he wasnt sure if he could sell it to me but i asked if he could check with the manager and he agreed. finally the manager came along and said i could buy it but could not return it if it is faulty. once purchased i went back to the self scanner and scanned a few items and got a braun epilator for £4.08 for my gf who will be chuffed to bits! i would have been there longer but had to go to work so will be back there later this afternoon! i will let people know which store this is but i want to make sure i have checked through the items i am interested in first. i promise i wont buy everything and will let people know the items i dont want that are reduced. oh, and there was 1 braun epilator left.... ;)
