    Hi there
I have just started meal planning, so this is my first time! Me, OH and the two kids are vegetarians, we also have my mum living with us who isnt veggy, so I have to include some meat for her so it does get a bit confusing, also my DH is on a gluten free diet so thats makes it more complicated!
Anyway here goes, all shopping has been done. was hoping to spend £70 but ended up spending £86! think Im going to go online next week though.

Mon 5th- Sweet potato and courgette fritters, new potatoes and salad ( piece of chicken for Mum)
Tues 6th - Veggie shepherds pie and veg
Weds 7th - Macaroni Cheese and garlic bread( DH skips the bread)
Thurs 8th - Veggy sausages, chips and beans ( Mum has normal sausages)
Fri 9th - Tofu and noodle stirfry
Sat 10th - Fishless fingers mash and peas and sweetcorn( Mum has fishcakes)
Sun 11th - Nut roast, roast potatoes, veg, gluten free yorks puds and gravy
We only have pudding as a treat!

I've never really done a meal plan before, I'm really indecisive and just make something at the last minute but I thought I'd give it a go.

    M: Feta & pepper frittata
    T: Spinach & barley risotto
    W: Vegetable curry & rice
T: Baked bean & leek hash
    F: Lentil roast
    S: Broccoli bake
    S: Tomato pasta & quorn

I'd be really interested to see vegetarian meal plans, as we can't really afford much meat.

    Hello
In a desperate bid to get my grocery spending under control, I'm returning to meal planning. I also need some inspiration as my meals tend to be a bit 'samey'.
    So this week....
    Monday: quorn mince with rice
Tuesday: Jacket potatoes with with either tuna mayo or cheese and beans
Wednesday: fish with mash and vegetables
    Thursday: pasta with tomato sauce
    Friday: Sausage casserole maybe
    Saturday: curry
    Sunday: chilli with rice

I've just used the last of the vat of quorn mince base I cooked up so need to do another one, just need to get some passata in.

How flattering! :o:) I've never tried making croquetas although I've eaten them in Spain - I'll definitely be trying that recipe poppy-glos. :T

You're very welcome. The rissoles were quite a nice lunch on Sunday when I spent all day batch baking. I'm a poorly Maity at the moment (cough, sympathy!!!, cough) although it's only a sinus infection and coldsores but it's enough to leave me not massively hungry, moody and tired.

I do have a croquetas recipe in my Barcelona books, I'll dig it out for you CCP. I had a little trouble with it - the mixture was a bit liquidy and wouldn't set but I used semi skimmed, not whole, milk which might have made a difference. Spanish ones are right fit though.

    This week we are having:-

Yesterday (5th): Tomato soup for me and OH had a sandwich and a turkey curry for dinner.

Today (6th): Lunch - Me, chicken stew and dumpings (from leftover roast) and OH had pigs in clover (a We'll Eat Again recipe) using whoopsied mince (meant to be just sausagemeat), onions, garlic, breadcrumbs and seasoning stuffed into a potato with a 'core' taken out then baked. It's nommy with green veg.
Dinner - OH is having leftover curry and I'm likely to have some noodles or something.

Wednesday 7th - Lunch - Stew and dumplings
Dinner - Pasta and HM meatballs with salad and garlic bread

Thursday 8th - Lunch - Koftas with rice and flatbread
Dinner - Pork chops, potatoes and greens.

    Friday 9th - Lunch - Sandwich.
Dinner - Chinese! Using things from the freezer to make something fried rice and spring rolls, etc (bought from the Chinese supermarket) including hot and sour soup. Droooooooooool.

Saturday 10th - Brunch - Bacon and eggs
    Dinner - Chilli con carne

Sunday 11th - Brunch - Bacon and eggs
Dinner - Nachos with leftover chilli, salsa, assorted toppings and a great, naughty portion of delicious melted cheese. Mmm... melted cheese.

Lots of the food on here sounds yummy.
I think people should start posting pictures!

On a forum I frequent they have a thread where people post their weekly shopping list and some include pictures. It'd be interesting to see that too!

    :)
