So I've had my first NSD 9 days into the new year!! Really wanting Friday to hurry up and get here so that I can reduce the figure in my debt. I've worked out that with a strict budget I can knock off approximately £5000 off of my debt by December. I also didn't think about the fact that I get 13 pay days a year which means in June I get two pay days :)

I've also sat and gone through my paperwork and calculated my true debt figure. It turns out that there was a whole lot more I hadn't taken into consideration. Oh well lesson learned I'll know to keep better track in future.

I've calculated how much I should get paid this month and haven't included my bank holiday pay as I can never get it quite right so I should get a nice surprise and be able to pay a lot off this month :)
    DEBT TOTAL: £7609.44
  • So today has been another NSD although I do need to get petrol but I don't count that in my daily spends.

I've marked all my pay days in my diary and next to the Feb and March pay days I've written reminders about my car tax and my MOT. At least I won't be forgetting anything. I got my Mazuma pack through the post today to be able to post off my old mobile phone and earn myself £7 towards my £12,000.

I did realise today that I never budget for birthdays or Christmas and thats why I tend to struggle. So I'm going to try and put a bit of money aside each month for these events.

I don't think there is anything else to say about today.

  • Another NSD today and a it is definately a day thats given me some decisions to make. Thats 3 NSDs - 11 days into the New Year. I had to borrow some money to last me until payday which I know is only until Friday but food to be able to cook dinner is important and there was an issue with a bill on my accout so had a charge.

So my debt has gone up by £30 but my debt will go down on Friday :)
    DEBT TOTAL: £7609.44
  • I've just worked out that if my wages are correct and nothing pops up to shock me this month I'll be able to knock approx £500 off of my debt :)

Thats definately something good to look towards

  • Knocked £250 off my debt. Gonna rework a budget with whats left over and see if I can do more.
Does a token payment come off your debt or not?

  • I've made £7 today from Mazuma mobile and I'm having a think about some ways to get some more money coming in. Maybe a little ironing business with me and my partner that we would split the money between the two of us. It would be some extra money for him and some debt clearing money for me :)

  • I was all up for selling to music magpie....until they offered me around £6 for over 30 c.ds! some of them new!!! wasn't impressed so i still have them and don't know what to do with them now lol. If you have some older c.d's they seemed to be worth more!

    :)

  • I have pennies in my account and about three pounds in my purse. That money will go on parking tomorrow because of an appointment at the hospital. Payday isn't until the middle of February! My partners friend said he would pay me to do some ironing for him and I have a week off sick so might take him up on that offer if it gets me some money to see me through the month. If all goes well it could become a weekly thing to add to my debt repayments.

He said he'd pay my partner to clean his flat £30 a week. If my partner doesn't take him up on it then I might lol!

I hope that you are ok. You should go for it. All the more for the cause as they say. Have you thought about mystery shopping
  • I work in a supermarket and because I'm on a three week rolling rota I don't know if I'd be able to do it
