My new washing machine and dryer have exactly 50 minutes left in which to arrive.

Why have I got a bad feeling about this? I've got a nagging suspicion they wont be coming.

I'm going to need Prozac if they don't turn up you know.

Yes. Delivery was arranged for between 8am and noon today.. They have 28 minutes left.


Maybe it was the same driver as Flipping 36 got and he's now sacked. :rotfl: That's a nervous laugh btw.

Just about to throw myself on the floor in the style of the woman in the supermarket ad but decided to phone just before going into full tantrum mode....they will be here within the hour.

:(Well even if it turns up I probably now can't use it anyway. The postie has just been but not with the 'special next day delivery that I paid £6.99 for', washing machine 2.5m long hose and special rubber foot things to lessen any possible vibration!

I may just sit it in the middle of the floor so the hoses can reach under the sink and hang the drain hose over the sink edge. Yes, I AM that desperate to get some washing done.

*going off to phone hose company to complain I paid delivery for nowt!*

Imagine if you'd booked a half day's holiday to wait in for that - I would be fuming!

All's well that ends well I suppose. Really there is no excuse for any delivery driver to not ring a) if they're going to be later than the timeframe and b) when they are either on their way or can give half an hour's notice.

Beware, sometimes they send parcels seperate from the "post" otherwise your poor postie would have a hernia by Easter!
