    Evening ladies,

I haven't had time to post this month so will go through all my ins and outs now:-

    Outs:-

BS Moringa 50ml - Quite liked this flavour and possibly would buy again, although not for a while and only when a good glitch is on;)
Tesco APD spray (bathroom) - Not impressed with this, hardly lasted anytime and I wasn't confident in it's deoderising qualities:o
Dove deodorant (bathroom) - Loved this one and would definitely buy again, seemed to last a long time too even though it's a small can.
TIGI Bed Head conditioner - I won this a couple of years ago, nothing special so would not buy again at the price it retails at.
Andrew Collinge 1 minute wonder conditioner - Won this one as well, did not seem to do anything and not as good as Dove or Pantene etc at a quarter of the price.
BS Blue Ice Shampoo - Mmm, nice and minty but very forgettable. Think I'm over the body shop shampoo now.
BS Ginger shampoo (donated the remains of this to DH and DS as it strips hairdye) Nice gingery smell to this but nothing special.
Tesco home panel cleanser - no idea about this one as it was secret.
BS Aloe night cream - I think this was old body shop stock as it looked a bit old when I bought it, very greasy but to be expected with a night cream I suppose. Would not buy again as there are other ones I prefer.
Simple face wipes - these were superb although a bit pricey, worked really well at removing most of my make-up before cleansing and toning. Would buy again although would probably be drawn to the cheaper tesco ones tbh.
Young & Pure face wash - I won this one, simply the best face wash I have ever used. Think it's designed for teenagers (i.e not me;)) but I think I will buy this again once my stash is used up.
S&G Clean on me - like this, lovely smell - would buy again
Spa Lavender Shower Gel (hate Lavender!) - OMG I detest lavender, so glad this is finished:D

    Ins:-

I have no bubble bath type products so got a bubble bath from the body shop today using my birthday month thing with the love your body card. Also bought a bath thing from Lush today as well - not a bath bomb the other thing you can crumble wee bits off!
  • Hi have been lurking on here for a while (love reading stash lists and reviews) and thought you may be able to help me as you're all a friendly bunch. I was wondering if anyone knows what ingredients in shampoo and conditioner actually help combat frizzy hair and which ones make it worse that I should be avoiding. I have tried plenty of straight and sleek and anti frizz shampoo and conditioner but none help the frizz in my hair at all.

    Thanks in Advance x
Welcome, don't let your first post be your last, do join in. Echoing Sawan:
One of my buddies has a thick mop of hair that is incredibly frizzy, her nickname as a child was Crystal Tipps (that will mean nothing if you are under 45, I know). She swears by coconut oil - Inecto is the usual brand -so anything containing this should be fine.

Some UU's! A M&S Ingredients Body Butter - Pomegranate. WIBA?
Yes, but want to try some others in the range. This does have a really pleasant sweet fruity smell and rubs in beautifully. I got it on 2 for £7.50, intend waiting for a similar offer.

Neutrogena Pure Sun facial moisturiser with self-tanner. WIBA? Well this was an incredible bargain. A poundshop buy that has lasted months. It was a very light white lotion - for normal or combination skin - but moisturised like a serum, went in really, really well. I have other things to use, but if I ever see this again in a pound shop I'll get it like a shot.

    Non Bought Ins:-
A lovely freebie to trial of Argan Oil, 15ml, to be used as a night and day moisturiser. :j:j:j
Another freebie - probably from Facebook - of a 50 ml Dove nourishing body wash. In one of those mini bottles that will have to be stood on its head as the plastic is so thick you can't squeeze it out!
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

Valm, I am 38 and I think Garnier are a bit cheeky sticking an age range on the BB box. Everyones skin is different and if it's been well looked after I don't see how they state only a certain age can wear it. I say give it a go and see what you think. I did try the BB with a base of No7 anti shine and it was fine.

I agree AT. I said this to my friend when she pointed out to me the age "restriction?" on the box. I am going to wait for the samples and see what it's like. If I like it I'll get it but otherwise will get a tube of the LE one. Does anyone know whether John Lewis are selling the new LE Sheer Skin Tint yet.

What does the No 7 make up base feel like on application. I am using Smashbox at the moment but I still manage to have an oily face by lunch time when I use it.

ok so this has nothing whatsoever to do with toiletries:rotfl:I was in Tesco on wed and there was an anouncement about double electric blankets for sale at £2.50!!!!!limit 2 per customer. As I did need a new one for my newly decorated spare room i went to investigate. They were Morphy Richards with a 3 year guarentee and the man near them said that tesco had just bought too many last year and had stored them, the packaging is just a see through bag so maybe not too good for a pressie. My last blankets cost £35 for singles!.........sorry to talk electric blankets in a heatwave by the way!!!!(

I know what you mean rosemary. Emma was off school yesterday (target setting day) and came to meet me at lunch time. We went into our new Primark for a track suit for her to travel in when we go away and she bought herself some pyjamas and wooly slipper socks. Felt very weird buying thick clothes like that when the weather is so warm. Mind you, the rumour is that we will have heavy snow at the end of October this year so perhaps we should all stock up now.

Have a lovely holiday. Haven't been to Malaga but we used to holiday at Mijas Costa on the same coast. Love Costa del Sol.

Can you believe it, it's the last day of September? I've been semi-good I think as I've not bought anything unnecessary.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    UUs to report:
S&G Breakfast scrub - Gorgeous smell and very scrubby but not sure if I'll buy scrubs in the future
Gliss Ultimate shine shampoo - WNBA - nothing special

Only 1 shampoo left now - woo!
  • If I'm going to fail September, well I already have, I might as well do it in style :rotfl:

    INs
17 Magnetised nail polishes x 3 (Grey, Green, Blue) (£11.98)

Wow! I don't even feel guilty about these :rotfl: I've only tried them the night I bought them. I'll definitely need practice, and will post a pic on my next go :)

    UU
Lush The Comforter bubble bar: WIBA? Yes! This is my most facourite Lush (or even bath) item, and if they ever stopped producing it I'd be devastated! It's my go-to for a bubble bath when I'm tired/stressed/upset, you get the idea! I do try to make it las for minimum 3 baths to get the best value, and it would easily last 4.

Flirtini I thought the same thing about the shimmery stuff I have. But you know, these had the added bonus of being scented! Oh, the things we say to justify things sometimes!

Kind of off topic but not quite, following on from my post where I was shocked at the amount Tesco's 'NEW' Vitamin E wipes had incraesed too, also noticed their panty liners had incraesed from about 28p to 50p, shocking and they think the customer doesn't notice!

What's the betting that they will 'price-drop' them back to 28p soon so they can claim 'almost 50% reduction'

Is it sad that I am pleased about that :p Last night I had to sleep on top of the duvet with just a thin sheet I was so hot. Every year I look forward to the kids going back to school because it gets dark earlier and cooler - I'm not having a good week :p

Thanks for everyones messages about the FB thing. I haven't heard from my 'darling' brother since I messaged him on Monday (had to message him as he wouldn't answer his phone ) I like FB generally - I like to be able to keep in touch with my friends/family that live far away and get some good freebies/coupons there - but agree with others that it baffles me why some people feel you have to know every detail of their life? I don't need to know you are in the bath/eating your tea/shopping in Tesco etc. I am part of a large Mental Health network on FB too and we use it as a sort of self monitoring system. If someone starts posting wierd random unusual stuff we can check they are alright before they may even realise themselves they are having a relapse - so it does do some good :D

So - back on topic :o there's a big WooHoo! in the sarah*a house as - after what seems like eons - I have some UU's :T

S&G Glad Hair Day Conditioner: WIBA? Absolutely YES! Incredibly impressed with it - needed a tiny amount to condition my hair compared to other brands. :A
Boots Cucumber Toner: WIBA? I have one in stash and I like it more because of the smell than anything, but probably yes :D

    IN's:
    Dove Body Wash 50ml:
Dove Intensive Hair Conditoner 50ml: Both FB Freebies and - as And said - both those awful stiff bottles you can get nothing out of :(

Hope everyone has a good weekend
  • Bit of an update on this weeks Outs.
Used up a few shower gel sachets this morning, mostly those I've had in magazines or latestinbeauty boxes. Finished the rest of the tiny Cath Kidston shower gels.
Using a sanctuary bubble bath as a shower gel but recken that'l be gone in the morning so will start on a massive bottle of BS dewberry shower gel I got on a glitch.
Pleased to report no In's this week.
    April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£150
