MBNA 28 Day Refund

My claim has been upheld by £1630.99 and I'd had the letter dated 16th Aug stating I'll have my cheque refund within 28 days.

Just wondering if anyone else has recieved their refunds within the 28 days, or have you had to chase MBNA?

    Hi and welcome.

    Well done on your success!

And hopefully you will receive your refund within or before the timescale given, and maybe someone who have had dealings with these will post of their own experience.;)

  • I had my letter on 20th July confirming my refund amount and saying I would receive a cheque within 28 days. Nothing's arrived yet. Sent off a letter this week asking where it was and asking them to alter the final refund figure to include the extra interest that's now due as well.

I had my cheque through around 21 days after the letter, so hopefully you will get yours soon
  • Hopefully I won't have too long to wait then! I'm a bit impatient because as soon as the money has cleared I'm taking my daughter to Disneyland, so I'm accosting the postman each morning!
  • I received my cheque for 2598.32 about 20 days later.

you could maybe email their CEO ian.odoherty@bankofamerica.com and thank him for their swift response in dealing with your complaint and you look forward to recieving your cheque as stated on the letter dated 16th blah blah and while you appreciate how very busy he is, maybe he could advise if the cheques has been processed as you have promised your daughter a trip to Disney etc etc.
thank him again, offer another bit of praise and I bet by the end of business today you have a reply saying the cheque is being sent out today!
this is what I did and low and behold I had my cheque within a week!

    Good Luck, and enjoy Disney!:j
