Like you theres alot of my daughters stuff & if she sees me selling it she'll want the money! I managed to sell her old flute, riding hat & boots recently, she saw me cleaning them up & twigged on,so have to be more discreet now! Oh whoopee im off to Clacton on sea this wknd so need to get my thickest woollies on for that, not the Bahamas sadly no ;) Have a good day DS :)

  • Payday today and another lump taken off card and tax credit OP. I am getting a strange pleasure from tackling these debts and getting back on track.
Less pleasure from looking at my worn out clothes etc but all that has to wait until I'm debt free. Not far to go now on the card and tax credits will be paid back by the end of the year - then some serious Mortgage OP and saving can start!!
Charity sale tomorrow - hoping I can make about £100 for my (tiny) savings pot.

  • Made £75 at the sale so not bad and managed to offload lots of grown out-of clothes and toys.
There's another sale at the end of April so I'll start amassing stuff for that one.
Starting to think about decorating my daughter's bedroom.......I wonder if I can manage that this year afterall. It'll need a decorator as its too much for me to do ( and I can't wallpaper) but maybe I can do it afterall. That'd be me nearly finished!:D

Hope you're keeping warm & cosy up there,im racking my thermo up last few days, rather be hungry than freezing im afraid! Very well done on your sales, you do well on them & at least you do it, im s'posed to make a start on garage declutter but its sooo damn cold in there (excuses, excuses!) Springtime carboot sales for me i think!
Moody wknd as didnt go away after all,BF had made plans to spend a few hrs at his married daughters while there & expected me to wait at hotel while he did so.....!!!!!!??!!! So i refused to go & he went on his own & i spent sunday feelin' flamin' furious as you can imagine, id taken precious time off work aswell? To top that finally got mort 1 statement & was £900 more than i was expecting (33,900,not the 33k sadly)! So im gona add my 2 free c/tax mths to that, get it down a bit & a bit more if i can? Feeling over it all now,im happy to say:) Well here goes PLEASE just send !!!
  • :jThank bloomin' goodness!! Wrap up warm & have a good day DS:)
  • Caw - thats a bit annoying - your computer is obviously vetting our messages!
My mortgage was a bit over £33k too - once the fees were added etc - but somehow I'm a wee bit ahead of where I thought I was as I paid more for the first month. Totally confused and spreadsheet is wrong but only by a wee bit and can't see how to alter it.....

Long day yesterday and was feeling cheesed off this morning. One client has binned me in favour of a more local guy and I'm fighting a cold. Someone's birthday though - so there is cake at work! :j

Had a look at my gas meter - looks like I'm using loads - like you I refuse to be freezing but still......I'm taking monthly readings just to make sure - and hope my £108 combined gas and elec is enough when evened out over the year - hope the summer is a warm one.......
Had bought some new cushion covers and a lampshade to brighten my living room up - on ebay so pretty cheap. Not much bunce left now to get through the month. Card payments / mortgage slight OP and paying back tax credits all on track and putting £50 into savings too every month. Not much left to play with.....hey ho. Allowing myself £50 a week for supermarket shop - surely I can manage that? ( never seem to - its the pinot grigio..........:o)

Keep posting thrifty - I'd miss you if you gave up!!

Or both!! Zimmer frames an' all! Keep up the good work DS i'm following your lead :)
  • Its not my morning. Office computer on the blink and new one seems so slooooooooooow.
A cheque for 200 has come off that I thought had already been cashed. My fault but still means its back to full-on frugal mode. Ho hum.

Good on you with OPs thrifty!
