Morning all,
Looks a bit dull here weather wise, but it may brighten up later on. Today dd and I are off charity shopping, she seems to have an eye for a bargain, she ought a Zandra Rhodes jumper for £3 :jon saturday, its quite 80's, but that seems to be the fashion, will treat us to some kind of lunch out.
We went to college yesterday to get her forms signed, the ladies who run the course were lovely and really welcoming, she starts monday  had to buy 2 books online £44 , and she needs a few bits of stationary, and I think some new shoes, she wears those canvas type shoes, but the walk to college is over a big playing field, and I found myself turning into my mother and suggesting a pair of sensible winter shoes, needless to say that did not go down well, I also had to pay £5 for passport photos
Dinner tonight is some kind of pasta dish, I have some bacon and ham bits that need using, and some creme fraiche, think I will do a pasta bake.
House is not too bad, gave it a good going over yesterday, so a quick tidy will do, I want to make the most of this week with dd.
We went to see dad yesterday he was very sleepy, and had had an accident and was laying in it, he wont press the buzzer when he need the loo as he does not want to disturb the nurses, he also had tears when his sister left, she has been over from the USA to see him, and she does not know if she will be able to afford to get back.
Hope NPM and Little (tall) Noah are feeling better today.
Jackie G hope your ds gets on better today xx

Morning ladies , hope all are well.Another here reading but not managing to post lately:o. Must try harder;)
Dd has not long left to go to Skeggy with one of her friends and their family. They own a caravan up there She's only going till sunday but she packed enough to last her about a month, just how many shoes does she need to take.I counted 18 pairs of footwear:eek::eek:. We counted up all the coins in the 'penny jar' everything from a penny upto 10p and there was just under £200 so bagged up £30 for the 2p machines in the arcades as she loves to play these. So am going to rope ds3 to help give her room a lick of paint, make it a bit more grown up for her.Have just ordered the last of ds2's stuff for Uni cannot believe its just over 3 weeks before he goes.Getting very excited.
Not long put a load of bedding out on the line and got another lot in the machine, :eek:doesn't look to bad outside atm.Dinner tonight is Jacket spuds with salad and toppings.Have a drs appointment this afternoon, have a horrible issue with facial sweating:o:o have had it for a ages but it is getting to the point now that I hardly ever leave the house as turn into a waterfall as soon as go from outside to in ( apologies to much info).Shop lights are the worse .
Hope all have a lovely day:)Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -
Hi Guys!
Finally found time to get on here.
DD's wedding went beautifully! Fantastic weather, and everything went like clockwork. DG was an angel, considering she is only 17 months old.:T DS was there too with his new fiancee, who is lovely. DD said it was the best day of her life, so that's all I wanted. Her Dad didn't come in the end, his wife tried to make trouble, but it didnt spoil the day, and OH did a fabulous speech. He spent all evening asking about his daughter!
It took me a week to get over it though.:o My legs just gave up. I think it had all caught up with me after a year of planning.:rotfl:
Looking forward to my holiday now. OH is taking me to St Lucia in October. Been before and loved it, so I can just relax for a fortnight. Bliss!:T
Apologies to everyone for me not being on here, but hope to be back regularly from now on.
Sun shone this morning, but cloudy and dry now. WM on, and staying at home today.
3.50am felt a tickle on my neck, woke up and went to scratch it, only to find it was a spider crawling up my neck!:eek:, Threw it across the room, and then couldn't sleep in case it came back!:rotfl:
Anyway, have a good day all!
I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Morning All
Lovely to have you back hilstep, I am so glad that the wedding went so well x
JackieG (((((BIL))))) and (((((DS))))) I hope he has a better day today x
Redruby sorry to hear about your dad x
Lou Thinking of you and DH, I hope he is out of hospital soon ((((hugs)))) x
Well this morning I am upside down because the utility room is such a bloomin' mess. DH managed to tank all the walls yesterday when he got home from work and is doing the ceiling and floor this afternoon so I am trying to get all the washing done (WM has been moved to the kitchen for the time being).
DH said that means that tomorrow will be insulation and plasterboarding ready for plastering on Friday and then putting down the tiles on the floor on Saturday, then everything can go back in which will be a relief cos my kitchen is not very big and is even smaller with bits and bobs all over the place and the overflow is in the hall and dining room  the painting will be done when the plaster is dry.
I will be glad when it is finished but it is a job that needed doing before winter sets in, and hopefully it will save a bit on the heating bills.
Well I am off to put the washing out
Have good days all xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

morning all.
Up and dressed and just having a few moments on laptop whilst eating brekkie. Have to get the passport application and an ebay parcel ready then will nip up to the PO. Trying for a NSD today but awful low on milk...am in town tomorrow for an eye appointment so will be doing a A*di shop to get bits in for DD's DofE expedition.
Am about to hang out the washing.
Have whooshed round the floors and dusted the living room and need to just get the DW on.
Will try and do another 1/2 hour on the cross trainer today and need to do a bit of weeding.
DD is out for dinner tonight, one of her BF's is off to Uni so it's a final send off for him, so OH and I will have the whoopsied plaice that has sat in freezer for ages:eek: with new potatoes and a salad made from toms and chard from the gardenGrocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
Grocery challenge November : £291.65/300.00 NSD 10
Grocery challenge December : £0/240.00 NSD0 -
Morning everyone
Tinned pie, I remember those, we use them sometimes when we're away in the caravan - good stock item and they're not bad!
Bright but cloudy but a bit chilly here this morning. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock this morning. Washing on line and another load ready to go out once first load is dry. Got most of the washing done and almost dry yesterday, so just want to get the rest washed and dried today then will do ironing over next few days.
Going out with my friend and her son this afternoon to a park with a maize for a couple of hours, well hoping it'll only be a couple of hours if we don't get lost! DS1 started back to rugby training last night, has just got up and said his legs ache, they we doing fitness training and they had to roll a tractor tyre end over end! Rugby season starts again on Sunday so will be back to that on a Sunday morning - don't mind actually quite nice to get up and go to watch as very nice and sociable - people really friendly, and good for boys to go to training 2 hours or 1 hour training and then a game - makes Sunday afternoon's great - they are really quiet and well behaved!! Need to get myself moving as need to go and get some cash for this afternoon.
Will also need to menu plan and write shopping list for shopping on Friday, can't believe 6 weeks holiday have passed so quickly again!
Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Good Morning chums,Just spent a happy hour writing a letter of complaint about our holiday accomodation.Don't suppose I will get much feedback but it did make me feel so much better to have a good rant.I had to go to the Drs. this morning as my chesty cough seems to have worsened over the past week or so (being in damp accomodation probably didn't help it)and he gave me some anti biotics and told me to return in a week if its not cleared up. This afternoon I have to take DD to the dentist as she has to have a tooth out bless her she still needs her Mum with her at her age as well :)I shall also be keeping an eye on the little ones at the same time .
Not very warm at the moment so I'm just about to put a cardi on as I'm feeling a bit chilly.Chicken from the freezer and salad for dinner tonight
have a good day everyone. Start of autumn tomorrow according to breakfast TV, wheres this year gone to I wonder I swear it goes quicker the older you get
Cheers Chums JackieO xx0 -

Back from MK. Shoe shopping is surprisingly easy with my youngest son - in fact most things are very easy with him :A I keep expecting him to change but he has been the same since the day he was born as he generally has a very sunny disposition. If only DD was the same and I have left her in MK and told her she can make her own way home  We are going to sit down with her tonight and try and sort out a way forward as she is still unsure about what she wants to do. I understand she is disappointed about college but she is very moody at the moment:eek:
Right although Im shattered I need to sort out the washing.
Hugs xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
