    A comparison site accredited by the correct industry body wont be biased.

    Providing you have done all them checks then well done for getting a good deal. The reason why i asked more about this at first you implied you had signed up for the company as the dd was £9pm cheaper.

    I would suggest using a couple of accredited sites (preferably from Martin's recommendations). If you get the same results, then you know you can trust them as it is most unlikely that two independent sites would come up with the same result unless that result is correct :)

    There's no way I'd trust SP cold callers. I recently moved from them to Npower and had some SP oik call me up. I'd be surprised if he even had a GCSE in maths as he was trying to convince me that his capped tariff was better than the one I'd just moved to. It was only when I compared the unit rates of the two to him over the phone he conceded that his SP one was poor in comparison. I think this is outrageous behaviour as most people who aren't clued up with energy costs may well have just taken his word for it.
