    Why does a 13 year old need a mobile phone in Turkey?
    To make and receive calls and texts? To use it in case of emergency? Is this not what the mobiles are for? It's not a big deal to make/receive a few short calls even if you pay roaming charges for this. And the incoming texts are free.

    The problem lies in having the data roaming enabled and using it, not in just having your mobile abroad.
