They may or may not be trying it on, but do have an "opposite" story which will need to be disproved otherwise it does have a chance to end up 50/50.

A witness would be useful if they could be found!

    Ok, look..........

If that were true, then scam artists wouldn't be making cash from insurance claims where they reversed into a victims car.

Sadly very true, increasingly necessary these days.

I'm going with this solution once my windscreen mount arrives.

I looked at that myself, but the battery drain and memory card usage will be soooo high, you'd need a large memory card (16gb+) and a constant charger connection.
My android phone lost half it's charge just running it as a GPS satnav for 35mins, im in the process now of making some modified USB leads (with voltage supply only) to keep it running in my car without trailing thick black USB leads everywhere :/

Mine fares for a few hours, but I already do the windscreen mount + charger thing as my phone is also my music player. I have a 16GB card in it already, but my go to a 32GB.

I like that it logs GPS and accelerometer data too.

Biggest annoyance is they only make car chargers with curly wires. I hate curly wires as you can't route them neatly.

    Get something like this
Then find a USB data/charge cable for your phone on ebay, nice and cheap....... :D

I'm stripping my USB cable down to use just it's +5v and GND connections, so that I can have a much thinner cable (2 lengths of black 7/0.2mm wire twisted tightly together using a power drill), running across/down the dash.

Ooooh, first one of those I've seen with a worthwhile current output, most of them only put out 0.5A. When I had my N900 just playing music would drain the battery faster than that bloody thing could charge it!

Might just get a couple of those. Thank you.

    no witnesses?

what a joke. surely we're living in a world where as long as you offer a counter argument, it raises sufficient doubt as to make a claim 50/50???

and as for reversing at lights? I don't remember seeing it. Spending long journeys on the road, I see plenty of people just going through reds, but never coming back?

She should be flogged. With her son watching to teach him a lesson. And her solicitor fired out of a cannon. in no particular direction.
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?
  • what about the admission of guilt at the scene?
Who remembers when X Factor was just Roman suncream?

Counts for nothing - especially if they deny making it!
  • This is truly a joke, though not funny in the slightest.

You need to be get your legal situation sorted out as they are exercising no control over this at all. This counter claim has come about as a result of this other party getting whiff of some $$$$ and lying as a result. Your legals should fire off a broadside quoting the penalties for misrepresentation and suggesting they withdraw their counter claim and settle matters in your favour.

Their lawyers are undoubtedly behind this as is the compensation culture but it is my understanding that if there was physical injury then the police could be involved as there would presumably be a need to establish speed and so forth.

I've actually been reversed into twice by people reversing at a red light. In both instances they were trying to turn right (no filter light) and the change on the opposite lights is aligned amber to amber.

Location is here :- BD10 0QY / roebuck hotel / pub if anyone is intersted in the junction.

In both instances the reverse ended up in nothing more than a small 1mph "touch" and no harm was done.

So it can happen but sounds utterly horlix in this instance.
On the basis i suspect it is horlix i'd concur on the flogging bit :D
Also i'd suggest solicitor is fired out of a cannon into the sun (channeling my inner futurama).

My best "reversed into story" is still the woman at the multi story.

She paid to exit, went out past the barrier, got to the road edge, stopped and then reversed back through the barrier and into my car (and the payment kiosk).

Just a genius level of skill.

I'm surprised she didn't say the whole multi story shot forward into her and sued us all based on the behaviour of people these days.

Thanks for that,I'll certainly ask about "misrepresentation" and about a doctors report. No witnesses or CCTV at this junction,it must be the only one in Greater Manchester. without them.
There's a thought passing through my mind that this was staged deliberately. I've been and taken photos at the junction as it's quite a wide open crossroads with a couple of filtered turns.
Thanks to everyone for their support and encouragement,I'll let you know what happens.
