Ryanair to Barcelona in January

Hi. Can any experienced Ryanair users advise whether I'm better to hold off booking Ryanair flights from Edinburgh to Barcelona in January. Dates are going out on 2nd Jan and returning 6th Jan. Currently priced at £105 return. Is this likely to come down in price or is it the best I can hope for?
Thanks in advance.

Do you think they will be popular flights?
Is there a cheaper alternative?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
It would be cheaper to drive or get the train to Newcastle and fly with easyJet. Currently £53 return.0

I don't see any reason why they would be hugely popular at that time of year. However, I'm not sure whether they would give discount fares just after New Year.It would be cheaper to drive or get the train to Newcastle and fly with easyJet. Currently £53 return.
I have considered this, although we are travelling from Aberdeen so it's quite a lengthy journey to Newcastle.0 -

Aberdeen to Barcelona on BA via Heathrow is £179 including allocated seat, baggage, food, taxes and all the other things O'Leary charges extra for0

Eh no, I've answered your question.
I'm asking any experienced Ryanair users if the price is likely to come down as I generally have no idea. Note that I said I'm not sure if they will discount the fares, hence the reason I have asked.
whats happened in the past with the flights could well be entirely different for the future, you edge your bets.0 -
There will be a sale at some point. The problem is two-fold. First 2nd Jan means there will be folk flying back home from relatives /university etc Misc spanish people who want to go to EDin for NY etc so 2nd Jan possibley won't be discounted. We have our Wedding anniversary in Jan and we go on a Ryanair special every year. In 2005 the sale was early Sept for Jan but in 2010 it was Nov so it has moved over the last few years to being nearer to the dates -usually now about 2 months before travel-the sale for October started a few weeks ago.
So if you need those dates and to go from Edinburgh I'd just bite the bullet , but if you can be flexible then wait.
I sympathise as from Aberdeen you haven't got so many options.0 -
