  • Phone Tesco.com for a refund.

I always do if they send me short shelf life produce. They automatically refund!

just rung tesco, they want me to take it into the store for health and safety checks... they seemed quite concerned.

How on earth do you do H & S checks on a maggot?? Do they need to check that he has got the right safety equipment and that hes sitting correctly :rotfl:

Why am I assuming its a he maggot

Was it an organic tangerine? Organic means no pesticides, so you should expect maggots and the like - if you don't want maggots, don't buy organic.

As my daughter's partner (a chef!) would say, "Mmm, extra protein!"

lol! The tangerine wasn't organic. I'm a bit squemish. when my housemate got in he looked at the uneaten part and found several more moving around inside, in the half eaten bit we also find more (yes!)

Took back and got a £10 voucher.

  • So will Tesco's responce be to ensure all future crops are drenched with even more pesticide?

I'd rather welcome the odd magott

Just out of interest, would you be happy to eat a 4 day old tangerine well within shelf life, full of MAGGOTS?
