Morning all!
I've just seen s flock of geese migrating, well it sure looks like it, over the house. that's the sixth lot i've seen since 7pm last night. Its a bit early for them though. They nest near the park about five minutes walk from my house.
Had a lovely day out yesterday, went off to the car boot sales, spent a whopping £3.50, the boys spent £3 on toys and books . I also got a pair of pj's for snips. So that was good. Ended up sitting by River Leven with a picnic and going to a flower festival.
Only lasted about 4 / 5pm as it was too windy and cold.
still we all enjoyed it, came back and rhubarb and apple jam, and two two small jars of apple jelly.
Not sure what wer doing today, think we might go to MIL to chop her hedge down and get some apples off her tree.
Lou - how are you today? xx0 -
Morning all!
welcome Shilly!:)
off to work later but popping to visit my sister first as she's till stuck in her flat with her foot in plaster(the flats out in the middle of nowhere and she cant drive at the moment) Hopefully she'll provide the usual helping of home made cake:D to go with the coffee.
Have had a quick tidy up. Am giving the washing machine a 90 degree wash as it needs a clean after washing the dog beding yesterday.
Got some veggies from the garden to prepare for the freezer and a big box of cooking apples to stew when I have time.
Lou - hope your DH is on the mend x x
NPM - hope you're feeling better today x x

Morning all, just finished my second coffee about to crack on. Got washing and cleaning to do before heading off with the children to the dentist then shoe shopping for middle Ds. If the weather holds off and just stays overcast will take them to the park afterwards for a run round before heading home. Must remember to pack my book.
By heck its started getting colder here im holding off using raidators though as long as possible.
Hugs to all that want and need them.Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

Morning all,
Had a lovely long lay in till 9 this morning :j, felt I really needed it, I think its cos we have been working from 8 - 7 ish every day,and then having to cook / tidy up etc, it really tires you out.
Anyway OH has gone to work today, and I am having a day off from the bathroom, I want to give the house a really good going over, get rid of all the dust, mop floors etc.
We had a good day on the bathroom yesterday, we now have a working bath, working toilet, all tiles done (apart from a tiny strip around the floor which we had to leave to get the flooring down) flooring is now down, so next we need to grout, put the shower head up
(his weighs a ton, and we have had to wait 4 days for the adhesive to go off)
And decorate, so nearly there :j, its looking good, I will out some photos on fb when done.
Dinner tonight is sausage and mash with onion gravy and loads of veg, have been having quick meals, and need a veg fix.
Need to pop to the bank later and pay a cheque in, then go and see my dad, I have not been for over a week, and I really miss him.
Need to do an online shop today too.
Welcome to Shilly :j
NPM hope you feel better soon xx
Have good days all xx0 -

Morning :hello:
Last week, I booked a holiday for the end of september. Yesterday, mr tru broke his wrist in three placesHe has a temporary plaster on at the mo, he has to go back to the hospital tomorrow for a proper one. He drove home from the hospital yesterday and to work this morning. Then he found out it's actually classed as dangerous driving. I've rung the owner of the cottage we're staying in, she's happy for us to change dates. If by some very slim chance he has a bandage instead of plaster, he's allowed to drive. So fingers crossed for the hospital tomorrow please
On the plus side, he has a chauffeur to and from work for the next six weeks
Bit peed off about postponing the holiday so I decided to cheer myself up with cake. I made some this morning and it sunk in the middle. Never mind, I thought, it'll taste fine so I went to ice it - no icing sugar.
I'm going to spend the rest of the day on the sofa, eating flat dry cake.Bulletproof0
