Travelodge £15 rooms (merged)

I think it IS the Covent Garden one - CG has two sites, opposite each other. The Drury Lane one used to be another hotel last year, but I booked at CG and stayed there on Friday night, and was directed over the road to "the new building" on High Holborn, opposite Evans Cycles - I think this is the one you mean?

Anyone have any idea when the next batch of £15 rooms will be added. Hoping for a couple of nights in school easter hols but I don't want a mini break at Gatwick airport!

LOL, me too. I was in room 269.

That's right. When we stayed in the Covent Garden one last year, the one on High Holburn was under construction, and we stayed in the one on Drury Lane. THe new one is in top condition, and was the best £15 we've ever spent.

Stayed in The Royal Scot on Wednesday night, that's nr Kings Cross. That's very shabby in comparison, well, the 5th floor definitely needs a bit of a refurb.

Stayed here New Yesr Eve, was great only about 10 minutes walk to Trafalgar Square. Sainsbury near by if you need supplies!!

You stalking me? First Royal Scot, where I was the previous Saturday, then Covent Garden.

Very shabby - didn't even have "do not disturb" things on the doors, and the cleaners started harrassing people before 9am - didn't listen very carefully to responses to their courtesy knocks. By the third time they tried to knock me awake (at one hour intervals) I'd taken to shouting my reply very loudly so they could here I was still in the room. Quite embarrassing.

Covent Garden new building - I had a beautiful family room on the top floor, great view. But at reception when checking in, I overheard a girl from the old building complaining her toilet seat was broken and the taps wouldn't turn on or off, and a few other things. So defs try to get in the new wing if you go there!

Its quite sneaky, you need to play around with the travelodge site in my experience to get the cheapest price. For example, you want to stay three nights, you search for three nights putting in your date, the site will return the cost as 3 x most expensive night (normally 3 x 59 = 177). Then try putting in searches for 1 night at a time, even if you have three separate bookings, you can stay in the same room if you go to reception before 10AM the next day and who knows, you may get 2 x 26 and 1 x 39 saving 86 quid.

But don`t forget to tell them that you are staying more than 1 night when you arrive.They have always let me stay in the same room.

i just booked two family rooms in glasgow paisley road for £26 each at the end of June (for my graduation) which is a serious bargain I think! :beer:

so even if you dont get a £15 room there are still bargains to be had. there were rooms at the glasgow central (1 mile away) for £39 so saved £26 overall, well worth the taxi fare!

Now all I need to do is actually graduate :rolleyes:
