No extra anywhere near me, so was hoping Celebrate could let us know if it was a standard store that it didn't work in!

Although thinking about it probably didn't buy enough other shopping, so this may still work.

Problem for me was all of the batteries had security tag on them so grabbing 12 through self scan was a bit daft lol.

Will be taking them back lol. Was worth a shot.

You still did well, full cost would have been £47.88

Maybe you need to buy 6 of the same, e.g 6 AA or 6 AAA in the same shop?

Didn't really need the batteries though as have rechargeable ones lol :P

Might take them back tonight for a refund then try again. Altho as said going through main till with them i'd have to find a good SA.

Either way the amount of money you 'earn' from the batteries is about ££10 for each batch of 6... £3.50 off your shopping and £7.00 off the batteries offer price. And at my extra they prob had about 24 packs total out. so you would earn maybe £40 but have to take 24 security tags off lol.

The trick is to buy at least £3.50 of other stuff with every batch of 6 batteries. Did the people who failed do that? because i didn't and obviously the till needs to go positive then again...

While scanning more batteries it didn't take £3.50 off so it might not actually work.

    As i did this:

    Scan 6 batteries - (AAA) hit total = £7.00

Then go back scanned all other batteries and you would've thought before i reached 6 again it would take the £10.50 off again.... but it didn't.

    I.e. Scan 6 batteries (AAA) = £7.00 total
Scan1 AA battery pack for £3.50 = 10.50 total - At this point the £10.50 offer could've worked but didnt

This was at an extra so i'd say this might not work everywhere.

It does seem to be 6 of each, but possibly the AAA not working, or maybe not working in a Metro?
