Yes, I sort of made my own snowball spreadsheet for paying off the credit cards- it will be quite a stretch though to do it in that time. I guess its not long really but it seems like forever...and even if i did get pregnant straight away there woud still be nine months to wait- hmmm... may check out what due date that would equal, its all motivation.
We plan to use those 9 months to pay off our overdrafts and other debts.Tax 2006 -£1849.20
Overdrafts -£5150
Personal Loan -£2535
Sainsbury CC (14.49%) -£1240
Total Debt -£10774.200 -
Barclays credit card you say is at 12.9%, just a quick question can you not transfer this to 6.9% LOB?
I know you want to pay it off as quickly as possible but every little helps! And they have LOB on there standard Barclaycard so I guess this is the one you have.

It worked amazingly and altho we cut back on all the extras in the budget...we had paid the debts and saved loads as an emergency and baby stuff fund. It was great...

Defiantly don’t dry clean it before, just photo the marks and say that it could do with a little cleaning.
That should do it!Lighbulb moment Mar 06  Total debt £26023.60 Apr 06  Total Debt Now £22714.87 Total Paid Off £3308.73(12.71%) Debt Free Date 2013_party_0 -

You can put a reserve on it of anything over £50 maybe £150 would be sensible depending on how much it was new.Lighbulb moment Mar 06  Total debt £26023.60 Apr 06  Total Debt Now £22714.87 Total Paid Off £3308.73(12.71%) Debt Free Date 2013_party_0 -

Hi RRR,
What is LOB? Hopefully Barclay card will be toast by Feb, but the other cards could probably benefit from anything to cut down interest. Have currently run out of 0%s.
Will definately take the advice with the dress- is there a good time of the week to list things on ebay or should i just go for it?Tax 2006 -£1849.20

LOB = Life of balance. It would be a good idea to ring your cards up to see if they offer any good LOB rates.
And Wednesday or Thursdays are usually the best days for eBay and around lunch time the best time i.e. Wednesday at 12:15!
Good luck!Lighbulb moment Mar 06  Total debt £26023.60 Apr 06  Total Debt Now £22714.87 Total Paid Off £3308.73(12.71%) Debt Free Date 2013_party_0 -
Hi CN,
Sorry it took me so long to post a reply. I don't mind you using my listing as a template if it helps. I don't usually give so much detail on my ebay listings but as it was my wedding dress I wanted to make sure I'd get a good price. If I was the buyer I wouldn't pay all that money on the strength of a picture and the size of dress. I didn't mind selling it for £350 but I think I would have been gutted if it had gone for £50. I think I started the bidding at £100.
I kept everything else like my veil, tiara, jewellery, shoes and undies (and some other bits and pieces like the seating plan which I made, our place tags from the meal etc). I bought a pretty box and wrapped everything up in tissue paper (acid free). It's lovely to get it all out and have a look at it.
Good luck selling your dress.Proud to be dealing with my debts
