    To sell your dress on ebay:

    * Take lots of photos, including close ups of any flaws, so the buyer can't claim they weren't warned
    * Use the gallery feature when listing (buyers looking for clothes won't click on a description alone)
    * Put all the measurements in the listing
    * When choosing the postage options on something high value, make sure that all the options have recorded delivery or some other way to verify that it was properly delivered.
    * Check out the MSE ebay forum for lots of expertise.
    * Good luck!

  • small set back on ebaying- had to all ready to post and then found a load of scuff marks on the dress-i think its going to need dry cleaning, but then im not sure itll be worth the cost of getting done?? confused???

    But, moving on with other things...have made a bright 'see me' card for the shop notice board so hopefully a sale there- plus will clear loads of room in the house (will be worth it just for that!).
    Also going to bank in a minute to buy cash bags for change- will deposit tomorrow.

  • OK- Have worked out my own snowball calculation for Baby allowed date. 24/05/07.
    Target for today was £4512.20 but actual is £4413.53 as have been sneaking money onto the credit card to get it paid quicker. Its funny but if I put the money in I dont really miss it whereas if I plan to keep some back it never happens!!!
    Also had a job interview yesterday so fingers crossed for better pay!!!

    Personally if I was buying a wedding dress I would have it cleaned anyway before wearing it so I'd list it with the marks on it - just make sure you tell them all about all of them ....

    Hi there
    I notice on your SOA that you have a rental for a washer/dryer. Have you tried looking in freecycle in your area to see if anyone is giving one away?
    You can also look on gumtree for free things being given away.
    hope this helps

    I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Wow, you're doing well - we decided a year ago we wanted a baby and that DH would stay at home and be a FT Dad (he worked from home, but income VERY unreliable so mine covers the bills) and we still have quite significant debts. I have to say it hasn't been as expensive (yet) as we thought - there's lots of stuff you don't need and people have given us hand-me-downs and presents so we haven't spent a huge amount to date - will be debt free by the time we have to start spending silly amounts, fingers crossed!
