    Good Morning

Hugs sent to all those who need one.

Got up quite early and have had a bath, washed hair, done a load of washing and hung out the washing I did last night. It was lovely first thing - bright and breezy now it has clouded over and looks like rain.:(
Lots of jobs to do today, DS is playing cricket this afternoon so will need to get him there just after lunch so realyy should be cracking on.
Have a good day everyone whatever your plans.

    Morning :hello:
Hugs to Lou and NPM hug.gif:)

Downstairs (apart from the kitchen) is a mess in my house. Apart from the clutter - which I hate - I'm not that bothered because I'm still in selfish mode and I'm loving every minute of it :D Once the skirting boards and cupboard in the hall are painted, all will be put away and the lounge and utility room will be tidy again.

Our tomatoes are being turned into soup and pasta sauce. We still have too many eggs, each time I use one I put it in water. If it floats, I hold my breath and crack it but I haven't had a bad one yet. Have you ever had a bad one? I did a couple of years ago, the smell almost knocked me out :D

I put the heating on for a couple of hours on friday, it was really cold and my hands and feet were freezing. I spent yesterday afternoon in leggings, a t-shirt, a jumper, socks and slippers and was still cold so I curled up on the sofa with a blanket.

There's no decent monster films any more. I feel the need for one, so I'll probably watch Aliens later :D

Morning all. Lovely day here although there is a definite nip in the air. Up bright and breezy again today. Looking forward to the cinema this afternoon. First, dog walking and work.

    Morning all

It's a beautiful start to the day here :) although it is a tad nippy. Lovely to have an extra day to the weekend.

I had a text off my friend last night, she text to say that her Dad had passed away :( he had been ill for a few months following an op, they found cancer earlier in the month but he was too weak to have treatment so was just been monitored but sadly he had an infection which he couldn't fight :( She is due to get married in 6 weeks and had hoped he would have been let out of hospital for it. Very sad.

Anyway, no real plans for the day. May go looking at cars if I can be bothered to go out. Other than that I'm going to do more research for my holiday and read my book.

OS wise - not much needs doing, should make a shopping list as I'm due my monthly shop, may go to tip too

    Have a good day all

    Morning all,

Looks like a good day here, mind you I thought that yesterday and washed every towel we own and the heavens opened, luckily managed to get them dry.

More bathroom work today, getting a tad fed up of having to put work clothes on each day, still hopefully we will be much further on by the end of today, we have a tiny bit of tiling to finish, then we can lay the new flooring and re connect the loo, I must say its horrible getting up in the night for a wee, and having to walk down stairs to the other end of the house.

Beth, you really should try and eat something, how about a little soup warmed up ?? please try xx

Sistercas, hugs to your SIL, must be very hard for you all xx

    Jackie O welcome back xx

    Flutterby, how sad xxx

Dinner tonight is the omlette we did not have last night, ended up having a naughty takeaway, it was delish :D

    Have good days all xx

BARGAINBIRD, My Dr's appointment is on Friday at 9am, DH phoned last Thursday and that was the first available. If I wanted to see my own GP I would have to wait until 12th Sept. DH told receptionist book the first available, so Friday it is. Thanks for asking, will let you know the outcome, I'm sure it's nothing really.

REDRUBY, I have never eaten lunch, not even before my unexpected weight loss, I have only ever eaten one meal a day and that's dinner. Thanks for your concern hun, bless yah.
  • Morning all the sun seems to be hiding behind a cloud at the moment here. Seems breezy out hope it doesnt rain as ive got the washer on. Due to go to a family bbq this afternoon too.
Need to sort wardrobe out as ive a charity bag to fill that wants to go out in the morning.
Finding it hard to move off sofa though need more coffee its bank holiday so thats my excuse for not motivating yet. :D
Hugs to all that need/want them :)
Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

    Morning all!
Get up and go has emigrated I fear! Head pounding, throat on fire, coughing like mad, thanks for sharing mother!
WM is on with work uniforms, will need to dry and iron as just off today then back at work tomorrow for 3 shifts, shattered at the thought.
Managed to speak to brother on phone last night, the predicted weather largely bypassed him, so no damage, and mum can relax about going to visit him and family on Saturday, 3 weeks in the states for her and no driving duties for me!
Big hugs where needed/wanted, have a good day all!

    Morning all,

I,m still snuggled in bed with a 'proper' coffee:T:T

Will get up and get on in a bit - need to collect DS2's school jumpers, and will collect DD on way back, havn,t seen her since friday, as she was spending the weekend with her BF,s family - how come you can wait to have 5 mins to your self when the kids are around, then wander round like a lost soul when they,re not around.
OH has had all my attention this weekend, and has escaped to the garden to get some peace :rotfl::rotfl:

NPM - don,t know if you use this technique, but when DS1 was younger and had a red mist moment, I was advised to sharply blow in his face - it used to make him take a deep breath, and would de-fuse him most of the time - not always, sounds like he was similar to Noah, but is now nearly 18 and a lovely lad, still hyper and a pain in the bum, but 'pro-social' and happy.

don,t know whats for dinner yet, depends on how many bodies we have to feed, will make cheese and onion pies and cornish pasties for lunches/snacks later - the freezer is now at bursting point:eek:

Have a great day all xx
