Is it for residential in an estate agents?

If it's a trainee job they will probably be most interested in seeing that you are enthusiastic and well informed. Make interesting chitchat (hard when nervous I know) ask about their turnover of properties for both lettings and sales, what they think 2007 will hold for the property market in that area and anything topical like Home Information Packs.

    Good luck :)

1/ Do you have a conscience?

2/ Do you have any moral fibre?

If the answer is yes to either of these it's probably not the job for you.

I love the Polish brickies and carpenters. They only charge me £7.50/hour and the quality of work is fantastic. I was quoted £5000 for a new roof on my garage. These boys did it for £200 - I supplied the materials. Hasn't leaked since.

they will want to know how you will maximise their profits - how will you answer that ?

What "schemes" will you talk about to increase income - "selling" new AST's every 6 months; increasing tenants "non-refundable admin fees"; doing inventories in-house ?

i suggest that these are the sort of things big letting agents are interested in (i do not endorse them for my own business i have to say)
  • How did you get on?
Sorry I didn't get back on to give you any advice, had a lecture!
