Spoon - my DH's brother lives abroad and he got married a few weeks ago - it was low key and they didn't celebrate as her family are in America and obviously we are here so they visited her family for the last couple of weeks and now it's our turn :D We are having a wedding reception for them on Sunday at MIL's and FIL's house. She is really lovely so am very happy for BIL!

Ahh.. that's lovely LMH - hope you don't think I was being very nosey:o:o

  • Not a NSD for me, but I am defintiely spending less! Total of £2.19 on a present for a friend, could easily have been £10 in McDonalds and an expensive mooch round town, but we had leftovers for lunch instead and went to pick blackberries instead of going to town. But am making a birthday present for a friend and needed a bit for it, so £2.19 on ebay. If I didn't order today, it wouldn't get here in time. Am definitley not failing though, I've still got £15 in my purse from the weekend, normally I would have already been to the cashpoint again. Determined to have an NSD (my first!) tomorrow.
  • one more NSD for me today.. :) THose today has been hard with everyone eating snacks in the office and me not buying anything at all

    Good afternoon,

Apologies for being MIA, but it's been and eventful few days!

On Monday, I dropped my mobile down the loo at work, :o( dont ask) and it really didnt like it! Bought a cheapo from A$da to replace it ( I didnt really like it) but I dismantled the original phone and put it in the airing cupboard overnight. Next day, worked perfectly;)
So I lost a NSD, but I have a spare phone which is handy.th_smiley_gsm.gif

Dad got home yesterday, MUCH better and thank you all again for all your support. th_smiley-thankyou.gif
I havent seen him yet as now I have the mother of all colds and I am streaming and sneezing for Britain! I am staying away from him as this is the last thing he needs to be subjected to.
Today I threw in the towel at lunchtime and came home to my bed, where I've been all afternoon.th_smiley-sick.gif I feel really carp, so I am trying manfully to shake it before we go off on Friday.

BDINI - OMG, are you superwoman or what! That sounds horrendous, how can people live like that? Well done you for tackling it with your usual panache!th_Laver01.gif

Nargle - Spoon's right - you really should write for a living, you always make me chuckle with your antics!

Any hoo, the result of all my events of the last few days is that I have another 2 to add to my total, so that's 9 please BDINI!

OH is going to make me his awardwinning boiled eggs and soldiers for tea ( I am nursing my inner child, LOL!) and then I'm going back to my kip!

Hope you are all fine and (((((hugs)))) to all those who need one!

    Have a lovely evening all:)
