How to politely tell an ebay buyer they can't pick up

If the auction stated no collection, then that is what the buyer agreed to.

If it didn't, then why shouldn't they expect it?

like you didn't read all my post; I don't look all over the auction to see the postal options. Pretty much every auction i've seen that doesn't allow local collections states it in the description rather than expecting people to go and look in the postal options.

The only auctions I've seen where they don't allow collection have been from business premises

postal options are at the top of the listings
so you have to go past that part to read the description
how do you know an auction doesnt allow local collections if by your logic its only the case if it states it in the description?

you choose not to check the postal options offered.your choice.
same as a seller has the option to not offer local collection just because "I'll expect to be able to collect it"

You can quote as many of your own posts as you like, but i didn't type them so it doesn't take away that you're making your own assumptions from what I said rather than quoting what I've said.
Why does it matter to you what I think and do with my eBay account that you find it so exciting to try and tell me that I'm wrong because you don't agree?

surely you would only be able to collect if its mentioned in posting options or desription I wouldnt presume people would let me collect if it doesnt state it. hope it goes okay op

I often ask if I can collect an item if it's local, but I always email first and ask "Would it be OK for me to collect in person and pay cash if I bid on this item".

I've never yet had anyone refuse, but I would never ask if the seller stated 'no collections'. I find many sellers prefer cash on collection as there are then no Paypal fees.

Your being silly if people allow collection it will be in the postal options. I don't state that I dont take cheques in my listing it doesn't mean i do because under my payment options it tells you what I except. Its stupid to think sellers should put information in the description when there are zalready set places for that information. That is just stupidity.
