2 loads of washing pegged out and 3rd going round, now totally shattered need to sit down and close eyes, trying not to stop becasue I dont want to think about yesterday. DD watching Mary Poppins, feel bad that havent played anything with her today, will get the Cars memory game out in a bit. Soooo glad to have her home and well to have her full stop. i look at her and my heart beams.
Sharon r - Re the tramadol and addiction I took it as read you may not be on the painkillers long term in which case I would recommend them- I have the controlled release version for long term use, and I am able to stop and start as I feel I need it, yep, as euronorris quite rightly says thanks for reminding me, there are yucky side effects, the ones I put up with are bad consitpation, initial nausea lasts 2days then goes, fuzzy head also goes after a few days, some people experience more or some less, it depends but for me the benefits far outweigh the side effects. When I asked my chronic pain specialist about addiction he denied it was, (but then he is hungarian and has limited English - joys of the NHSand I think there is mixed opinion about it in the medical community especially on the internet as it is not strictly just in the opiod family but a cross with something else (dont ask me I am not an medical expert), but hey go back to GP and ask him to clarify and ask for something stronger anyway and see what he gives you. Good Luck x

Me and DD have sorted through all her socks so holey ones are gone, sorted through her shoes too. Bedroom been hoovered, clothes put away and school bag ready including everything labeled.
Now to make a start on the livingroom..Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
3rd load of washing now pegged out, pillows now reloaded (not on ,my original list for today)
memory game played DD happy (she won - of course all fibromites have foggy brains, me happy drinking yet another cuppa and thinking shall I attampt something before we dive 40m to Chepstow gymnastics at 4pm. Luckily my friend is bringing her daughter and she has offered to drive.
Really want to do the lawn but it is a "good energy day" job and not sure I have enough spoons for the rest of the day. ARG the frustration, does anyone else feel this way???
Thanks for all the interesting posts, really enjoying them xgetting there slowly

Back from a nice walk with cat and her very lovely dog
I've also had lunch and reflexology since, so hopefully cat is nearly home. I'm now going to have a rest and then potter around getting ready for OH's visit tomorrow (oh yes... And work).
Just a reminder that we're not supposed to give medical advice, and we don't want the thread closed down ... We're not qualified (most of us) to provide advice, and don't know enough about individual circumstances to suggest treatment. I, for example, am allergic to opiate painkillers and have found that massage and exercise are the best treatment for my chronic back condition, but that may not suit everyone.0 -
Hi all, hope you are all ok, hugs for those who need em.
Jojo....saw your post re your DD...hope she's feeling better. I can fully sympathise as my DD2 has had cabin fever herself over the 6 weeks holidays due to her feet being in plaster. One is cracked too and the foot with the wire in is painful to walk too far on as it pulls the wire so we haven't been too far anywhere.
Our dishwasher has crashed and died. Need to get a new one asap so it'll probably be currys down the road.
Bathroom is still a mess with part of the ceiling missing, no plaster on the walls and no imminent sign of anything being completed.
Hubby is supposed to be on leave this week, needless to say today he is in London for a meeting...GAHHHHHHHH.
I have washing and suchlike to do, I spose I'd better get on.:cool:DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Hi all.
Most of todays list is covered;;) just having a break because my feet hurt like bu88ery and the sole of the right one has split open a bit so need to wait for the bleeding to stop or I'll be putting little bloody pawprints everywhere!
Vanilla I'm gonna have a wee word with Coyote – it's about time he left you and yours alone for a bit! Poor BIL – I hope he's not in too much pain.:( And imho Sis's landlord needs a good kicking – the problems should've been sorted an age ago!
Jojo ouchy! Poor Minion!:( What can I say – hospitals, eh? Don't you just wish they'd decide on a course of action, and get on and do it?!
Painfree vibes for Sharonr while I'm at it – I have a longstanding relationship with pain, so I understand exactly where you're coming from. Badger GP for something suitable. I'm unable to take Tramadol, as they don't play well with my anti-d's, so I'm on morphine now, but hopefully they can come up with something a little less drastic than that for you.:o
Fibromum – just – (((HUGS))) I don't know what else to say, can't begin to imagine how you must feel.:( Like mummyyof5 I feel a little guilty; for a different reason though, as I'm childfree by choice.:o
May I please have a quick offload?
I have to have a psychiatric assessment - not sure what this entails, or what they hope to achieve; we already know talking therapies do me no good whatsoever, and I'm on the strongest dose of Moclobemide I can have (it's a mono-amine oxidase inhibitor; I've already gone through tricyclics, which send me so far away with the Faeries that I'm a danger to myself and others, and selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors, which were fine for several years, but gradually lost their effectiveness).:( I've managed to work it so that I go on Tuesday next week, same day as my rheumy appointment, but 2 hours before, so Mr LW will be able to take me; and I'm assured it's two ladies who I'll be seeing, but I'm still absolutely terrified.:eek::eek: If ever there was a time to give up, hide under Mr LW's computer table and chew a slipper, this is it!:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
