What is the best value-for-money item you've bought for your pet(s)?

Options
I thought it would be interesting to share some of the great things we've bought at relatively low cost, for all of our pets.

The best value for money thing I've bought for my cats, considering how often it is used, is a cat tunnel. The one I have is currently £11.99 on Zooplus, but I think I got it for even less than that when it was on offer.

My cats play in it all the time, the older ones as well as the kittens, though the kittens do play in it more.

Below is a picture, which also gives me another excuse to show off my two new Bengal babies :j

Well I bought a 2-bed terrace for £15k in 2000 specifically because I was informed by the friend I was lodging with that Demon Cat (3 months old at the time) had to go (despite her wanting to adopt him in the first place) because he was too disruptive to the household so either he went or we went. I picked the latter.

It was relatively low price - about half cost of other houses on street and turned out to be great value because I sold it for £74k in 2007!!

That was very sneaky, posting those adorable kittens again!

my best buys are the dog beds- two I was given so utterly free and the others were bought at charity stands at dogs shows or charity shops for £1 each. Then the snuggly doggy duvets are home made, again duvets given (instead of going to landfill) and I have bought the fancy covers at about £1 each.

I cut the single duvets in half then hem. Cut single cover in half and use existing closers. On remaining half I cut the shorter end open too then make up like a giant pillowcase. Easy.

I call myself the Doggy Duvet Diva ! having made several hundred and sold them @ £3.50 for charity- medicalalert dogs: http://www.cancerdogs.org.uk/.
Getting near £1000 since Jan 2010

I have something similar to this, and I agree that our two kittens love it! Problem is, they wrecked it within about an hour's worth of play  The other cats didn't get a look in, so I don't know what they would have made of it :D

Very inventive of you! I can never think of doing things like that, and your dogs look sooo comfortable! :D Excellent that all the funds go to charity as well ;)

Fantastic! That is exactly the sort of thing I would do. When I was looking to buy a house, one of the requirements that I put to the estate agents was that it had to be cat friendly and away from roads. Some of them looked at me rather strangely, but I got what I needed in the end :D

Fortunately, replacement feathers are available for Da Bird very cheaply and are easy to change.
